Sideshow knows that it isn't in their best interest to leave a bunch of unhappy collectors screwed overr. We help pay their salaries and keep them in business.

Hopefully this is the wakeup call that was needed to increases quality or station a few people in China at each factory to oversee quality on a regular basis. Qa is there for a reason, I'm not sure why sideshow continues to let qa issues occur.

Hi guys! Response from the team here:

Please rest assured that we are aware of this thread and the issue, but it’s not nearly the cause for alarm that some here claim it to be. Frankly, fewer than 15 customers have reported the paint flaking issue to us (across ALL products). The issue was long ago identified and resolved, but unfortunately a very small percentage of product did ship with this flaw, as you know and see reported on occasion. We carefully and closely monitor all return reports to look for common causes and issues, and assure you that these are isolated incidents. As always, our customer service team is standing by to help those with ANY issue. Please do send our customer service team images of this or any similar issue, as they are helpful to our production and QC teams to best police our factories.

Sounds like an expected response. Ironically the only reason why people started to complain is because they went back to double check their items after a couple people started posting photos on the forums. If they didnt see photos or hear of paint flaking they would have never known that their items were starting to flake either. So how many 'unreported isolated' incidents are still out there waiting to be reported? honestly, once these are on shelves not many people look them over as they do when they first get them.

Also if the issue has been long resolved would you guys care to fill us in on how it was resolved or what the problem was?

Well, I got the generic canned return response last night and a UPS return shipping label so my Sabertooth LSB is going back for a refund. I wish my concerns I listed in my e-mail were addressed somehow but at least SS Customer Service is taking care of me.

My question is ...if
"The issue was long ago identified and resolved"
then why did the Darkness bust JUST ship with the SAME issue????

and WTF kind of lie is this.....????? :lol

:nono......:dunno

They were probably produced at the same time as the Red Version which also has problems.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if the number is low that are reported, I feel like it should be higher than 15 just from the FREAKS board alone, the fact of the matter is that there are a lot of collectors who ????? and moan about it but never actually contact Sideshow for any help or solution. From the Iron Man 1:1 Bust thread alone there were four or five, but how many actually contacted SSC? I didn't read that many "I contact them and..." comments. Its good they are aware of it and taking steps but I have a feeling that if more customers had voiced and shown the issues it could have been handled sooner....this isn't exactly a new problem just one that has had a lot more occurrences lately.

Well 2 of those 15 complaints were mine so it seems Sideshow has only had 13 others, I call b******t.

One for my oridginal Darkness bust, one for my replacement bust and one for my black edition bust, so 3 comlplaints for me.

My Wolf Predator bust has paint flaking on the edge of the neck collar. Sent Sideshow an e-mail about it, waiting to see what happens.

How long you had it ?

Even though nobody cares for it:lol,my faux bronze alien resurrection concept maquette had paint flaking off the toe of the right foot.I decided to touch it up myself.Hopefully in the future I'll get it custom painted anyway.

This is not encouraging for a first time sideshow purchase that's for sure!
