I put her on the shelf with the rest of the figures and she looks fine on the buck to me. Looks just like the character I remember from the games.

Belt still sucks lol.

I must agree, though, that the stand is loose on mine as well.

All my SS figures of late have had the loose stand issue. Han and Luke's stands are absolutely worthless because of it and my hobbits and Gandalf's stands aren't much better.

They used to work fine so I don't know if I keep getting ther random poor stands or if they changed something about them and that's why they don't work.

I've been very careful with the belt so thanks for the heads up. i think mine would have broken otherwise.

Saw this in person the other day. The figure looks plain goofy with the lazy eye and bad proportioned body...and not worth anything near $80. The best part about it are the accessories.

Seems like lazy eye + doll dot = sideshow

My stands have been mostly okay. Certainly Lara's is the most loose of the 6 others I have. Her belt is okay on mine. I haven't yanked on it or anything, but for normal handling it's been fine. However, there is a small tab on the backpack strap that sits under the flare that is just hanging on by a pinpoint of glue. I'll have to get that glued down before I lose it.

I just got mine and I have to say that I really like her. :D

The head has an exceptional sculpt. The proportions of both her features and her head are spot on. That's right, her head is in perfect proportion to her body!!! Way to go Trevor and Sideshow! :clap:clap:clap

The paint is actually pretty good, I wish there was a bit more depth to her eye and lip paint, but what's here is pretty good. Her head's skin tone appears to be casted in color, Sideshow has been listening. She does have a slight wondering eye effect, but it's not as noticeable in person. It appears the mask they used to paint the eyes had the eyes a bit off center.
Also, the paint on her nails is exceptional, much more subtle then previous figures. But there is a bit of slop on her boots unfortunately.

The body is loose on mine as well, and yes the Female Buck is crap, but it looks okay with her in the coat.

The clothes are good except for the jacket. The jacket needs to have the inner seam hemmed badly and there's a lot of lose threads that worry me that the jacket might come apart some day. The Jacket's white felt pieces look like s#!$t, they needed to find a better fabric for this piece. I did manage to get the flap on her jacket folded down, the secret is to push it down and back towards the bend to crimp the wire a bit.
I have yet to try the other outfits, I think I'll ditch the jacket and have her in the blue top.

Lots of accessories. The MP-5 is reused from the Bond line and is terrible, it's just too oversized. Please stop reusing it Sideshow!
The guns won't fit in the holsters on mine either, but I'm sure that could be fixed with some heat. I have no other issues with her belt, but it does seem delicate. SSC did a great job on her handguns and other accessories. My backpack isn't falling apart, looks great. And Excalibur looks fantastic, a must have imo.

The stand is also extremely loose on mine too, a common thing on this release but not common place on other figures. This can be easily fixed with a small piece of folded paper inserted into the joint. Fold it as many times as you need to get it tight.
Overall I'm very happy, the only problems are the jacket and Female Buck.

Like I said before, the more I play with her, the more I like her!

I fianlly got my Lara figure today and this is the first SS figure I've ever owned. I'm quite happy with it. I don't seem to get what people are considering "loose" with this figure. Mine certainly isn't.......

I also don't see anything wrong with the paint job, especially the eyes. I don't see the "wandering eye" problem on mine at all.

I'm a little disapointed with the jacket and there seems to be a lot of excess threads hanging off it. I may have to trim them some because I'm not happy with the way that looks.

I LOVE all of the weapons and extras.......very cool!

The box shows the guns sitting in the holsters but they don't seem to fit on mine either. Although, I believe right now it's because they're stiff. I think, like someone suggested above , a little heat to warm them up would do the trick.

On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give this figure an 8.5. :D

By the way.....does anyone have any good tips for removing the hands easily? I switched her hands as soon as I got them but while I was doing it I was worried I was pulling to hard and I had this fear it was going to break them.

Every single one of my DEAD stands have been loose and worthless since the Tactical Officer.

Dip them in hot water. I popped the forearm off mine trying to swap out the left hand. :horror Fortunately it wasn't a break, just popped it right back in.

Hairdryer. Same with her boots and feet to change the clothes.

Fantastic pics Mad Old Jim!

I'm a little disapointed with the jacket and there seems to be a lot of excess threads hanging off it. I may have to trim them some because I'm not happy with the way that looks.

You might also need to use a little anti-fray glue of some type along the edges of the fraying cloth so the threads don't unravel later on.
The jacket is the single most disappointing aspect of this figure. The lack of hemmed edges is just a nightmare. If it wasn't coming apart so much it would've been my preferred look.

Microwave a bowl of water for about 2 minutes. Let them soak for about 30 seconds. Boots hands heads---everything comes off easily after that.

I got my Lara Croft figure today. I have to admit that I am a bit disappointed in the overall quality.

I liked these pieces:
Headsculpt (although mine has a smudge on her right check)
Pistols (pretty cool looking guns)
Body (I can live with the articulation)

I was very unhappy with these pieces:
Boots (great sculpt but mine has paint slop from the white trim)
Hands (great sculpts but bad paint apps)
Jacket (what a piece of crap)
MP-5 (reminds me of old school Ultimate Soldier crap only more fragile)

The other items (shorts, socks, tank top, sweater ect) are okay. Not great, just okay.

Overall I am very glad I didn't pay full price for this figure. I think the quality puts this figure around the $40 price tag, not $80. The really sad part is if the quality had been top notch and there had been a few more accessories included this easily could have brought a $100+ price tag and I would have gladly bought it.

I'd like to kitbash a better Lara Croft figure, but in reality I'll probably keep the parts I like and turn the figure into something different like a zombie hunter or spy girl.

I hope this figure was a fluke with Sideshow's quality control department. If any of the Stormtroopers or Clones turn out half-a$$ed like this I'll give up the brand for good and go back to collecting Hot Toys.

I'm pretty happy with her. The jacket isn't that great in hand but I think the other pieces of the outfit are pretty good. Is she a Hot Toys figure? No. Is she good looking SSC figure? Yes.
