If we all had the Sith Eyes version already and they offered the pre-Vader Anakin now, would you buy it?

I hadn't thought of it that way. the fact is, the Sith Annie is more limited in terms of movie-accurate posing. You're not going to put him with Padme. Not fighting along side Obi, as friends. For me, it comes down to, "What do I want my figures to do?" I want one I can pose with Obi or Padme, and one I can pose alone with his hood up, Evil Personified.

I think there is a good chance that the "Sith Eyes" Anakin will be much more sought after in time. Even though there are 6,000 Sith Eyes compared to the less than 2,000 Exclusive original Anakins, I would imagine almost everyone would rather have a Sith Eyes Anakin if they had to choose.

Let's keep it quiet, I don't want to go on about it too much until I have a pre-order, but I couldn't agree with you more. You are dead on.

I don't know. I'm flying from Missouri, staying in a hotel, paying all the con stuff, and paying taxes and it's worth it. So I guess I find it eas none the less.

I'm willing to drive down from LA, run into the con, maybe hit the head, pick up Sith Eyes, find an In'N'Out and drive back up again.

By the way, I just spent a couple months in your neck of the woods... KC, MO/KS. Nice place to track down Hasbros. Couldn't find a decent comic book store to save me life, though. Great BBQ! My fav had to be Oklahoma Joes.

I pose the question only to consider the thousands of buyers out there who aren't obsessed enough to be on SSF everyday talking about figures. Obviously, all of us here are going to buy them all when it comes down to it. Yes Josh, even you will probably get Snowbunny Padme.

Exactly. The general public who thinks $55 for a toy is maybe ok for one version but can't justify spending it again for basicly the same figure would choose Sith Eyes, hands down, IMHO.

If I had the Sith apprentice Anakin and they then gave us pre-Vader Anakin I would for sure get him. I would actually be very excited, as I still like the regular a little better the then SDCC version but they are both awesome. I just have always liked Jedi Anakin better then Sith Anakin.

I got the ex. PF Luke last year without going to the con. SS makes it fairly easy to get what you want, but you gotta be on your toes.

I was on my toes last year trying for the exclusive Luke PF. I was right there at my computer refreshing the page and ready to get it the second that it went live. By the time the page loaded, it was already sold out. I would call that experience anything but fairly easy. Thankfully, the new streamlined priority preordering is in place this year, and there will be many times more Anakins available than there were Lukes last year.

In the end, I'm glad I didn't get it, because my frustration drove me to go down to San Diego and get one in person, and I ended up having a great time. I'm looking forward to a longer trip this year.

If sith eyes Anakin came out first I would pass on the regular. As it is I'm going to pass on sith eyes. That's the plan anyways. I look at it the same way Mikey does, how do I want to pose them? I intend to do regular Anakin with Dooku on his knees about to get his head lopped off. But getting a sith eyes for Anakin and Obi fighting...

I actually ordered a regular Obi Wan to customize for the Mustafar battle setup. Soak Obi's tunic in tea, a few small cigarette burns should do the trick. Though I am open to suggestions from you guys that customize regularly, this will be a first for me.

With the inclusion of the Lava droid, I think we'll either get one for Obi-Wan or we'll get a Mustafar Obi-Wan to get one (which could perhaps come with burned up stumpy Anakin?)

Suggestion: A cigarette might leave too big a hole for more than one or two. For finer detailing, I suggest lighting a wooden match, blow it out and quickly apply it to the fabric. Then, if you like, drag the match down a bit to smear some of the charcoal so it looks like the "molten ash" hit him and slid down and fell off.

I doubt it. We all only need one. Either open it or don't. There just isn't enough of these to give everyone an opener and a MIB one. Chose which you want and don't cry about it. Should someone go without one just so some of us can have two? That just isn't right. If you really want two, you'll find a way.
