and then because the Edition size is almost 5 times that of Luke Ex, another 30% (at least) of these will be dumped onto ebay so chances are you'll be able to purchase one for a lot less than Luke, probably for under $70.

Difference being there ain't no non-exclusive version to take the demand off the exclusive version. That's Michael Moore Maths you're using :monkey5

But the total edition size is only 2000 or so less than most figures editions of 8000 or so. If that is something to go by, the attendee version might not sell out in the priority pre-order stage. Don't hold your breathe on the non-attendee not selling out fast. Last year I had to grab 1 of only 50 Patient Zeros offered to non-attendees. That was before priority pre-order and streamline ordering. It wasn't easy, but it was doable. Anything is possible now I think.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the 5000 attendee figures don't sell out in two hours. I think there's a good chance that non-newsletter member attendees will have a shot after the priority preorder timeframe is over--but is there really anybody going to SDCC who knows about and wants an Anakin exclusive who isn't a newsletter subscriber?!?

Thats what I thought when the priority pre-order system was issued. Doesn't anyone who wants these figures, a newsletter subscriber? I guess not though?

There may be somebody who hears about it later and wants one, and if there are still any left I guess they would be happy.

But I don't think that anybody will be sitting at their computer waiting patiently until the PP window ends at noon so they can place their order.

Anyone know if they plan on releaseing images of the SDCC exclusive item one a week? For example, next week's newsletter would feature the Scorpion tail rabbit. I just can't wait to see Freddy and Subject 5

Something tells me you may be right.

If there will indeed be no further big announcements or priority preorders until late June, they will have to do something to keep us interested and awake. Giving us a new SDCC preview each week would do the trick.

Luke Ex 1250
SDCC Ex Anakin 6000

Doesn't take a whole lot of figuring to figure this out. There will be 5 times more of these available than Luke Ex.

Supply and demand, the aftermarket value will be driven down to a reasonable price -- if you really want one, you'll get one without paying too much IMO.

Plus there will now be something like 12 -13,000 Anakins; Reg, Ex and SDCC released at the same time.

Vader will sell out even if it isn't during the PPO timeframe because we got a long time still till July. Now, having said that if you want one and aren't going well I still say if you want one you will get one. Especially now that we know the ES is 6k on Vader. Even if they only do 1k for those not going not all 5k will be picked up so if you want one I think you'll have little trouble getting one.

I think your correct on next week we will see something of a preview for the next item to go on sale.

Hmm, if my finances go as planned I'll have to go order Obi-Wan from somewhere to go with Anakin.

You know, somehow I don't feel that bad anymore thinking that I might not get the figure, because I could see the Attendee preorder not selling out (or being close to selling out) which means we might just have a regular preorder for the non-attendee, although it'd still probably sell out in like 30 minutes. 'cause remember, even though there will be thousands of people trying to get the figure at that time, the servers won't be fast enough for them to sell out in 2 seconds.

There will be at least 1k-1500 of these listed on ebay after SDCC, but if you get on the non-attendee wait list early I would just wait.

I agree. I still think that the original exclusive Anakin will end up being worth much more than the SDCC exclusive, and be much harder to get.

SS has made this figure easy for those to get that can't go so they can share in the coolness of getting it. While those going get a cool figure from an event that really is not too miss.

For collectors who want an Ani Ex, this will always hold true, and it will appreciate faster. There's always gonna be 5 times more Ani SDCC Ex around.

booyah!!!! im really excited!!! i almost wet my pants when i saw the pictures. im most definately looking at getting 2 of these. one for display and one for in the box.

It will all depend how much this figure will be seen as a "MUST HAVE" by the general public. Need I remind anyone abot the human faced Spike with a 7000 run still goes for a good chunk of change on the secondary market.

In terms of Star Wars, I found it strange that the Target exclusive of the "Lava" Vader with a 10,000 run went for silly money on the secondary when figures with equal runs (Holo Yoda, Mustafar Anakin, and Mustafar Obi-Wan, Holo Emporer) were easily get-able. Somehow the Lava Vader was perceived as more desireable.

In a market HUNGRY for this figure, 6000 might be a rather small number. But we won't know HOW hungry until after the SDCC.

Is there any one going to cancel their regular Anakin if they score a SDCC Lord Vader?

Pjam and Tom both make excellent points.

But my nerd senses tell me that Sith eyes and the base and the packaging more than make up for the number differences. IMHO the eyes alone trump the holo Palpatine. Plus it's a full variation on a figure not just an exclusive assesory. Though with the base it's both. So if someone is weighing which exclusive to track down or which figure for that matter, I'd commit my energies into scoring this one.

Protozaius, I'm thinking about it.

I'm sure it will be seen as a must have for sure by lots folks. However, I think if your willing to get one through SS it will be more than easy to get one. If you want to play the ebay game it might cost ya more. That's your choice if ya do but if you want to get on the wait list and are willing to wait I believe you'll get one at retail with little problem.

Not a chance in Mustafar. I want both and will have both.
