I'm sure it will be seen as a must have for sure by lots folks. However, I think if your willing to get one through SS it will be more than easy to get one. If you want to play the ebay game it might cost ya more. That's your choice if ya do but if you want to get on the wait list and are willing to wait I believe you'll get one at retail with little problem.

That's assuming that you have the "hunger" for this figure before the pre-order date. :monkey5

I'm talking about the over-all future of this figure.

So often, people think they don't need the figure until they see it somewhere, perhaps in some friend's collection. The coolness factor of a figure can grow. I'm also talking about the general public, collectors that are just getting into collecting 1:6 scale figures (after YEARS of being disappointed with the Hasbro fare) because of the cool factor of these Sideshow pieces. And that number will grow for every piece that is released.

I'm sure that a Human Spike was easy to get too during pre-order time, too. :monkey2 But now that the word is out that it is a must have figure, and the fan base of Buffy is constantly growing, people like me are too late to score one at a decent price and have to play the Ebay game. :monkey2

Well, I think it's pretty obvious I've got the hunger for this figure but I'm going to SDCC so for me getting it will be a non issue.

The longer you wait the more you should expect to pay if a figure is that cool. So if you think you want it or do and miss out on it at first get your ass on the wait list. I agree that with each figure the popularity will grow and more folks like me will get into this market because of how cool they are. That's why I'm saying if you want one and miss get on the Wait List as soon as it sells out or shortly after like a day or so. There will be enough to satisfy most folks. Not all mind you but enough. Anything that is limited isn't gonna have enough made to make everyone happy so that's just how it goes.

As I've said get on the wait list you'll more than likely get what you want if you do it soon enough. As far as the line being or a certain figure being considered popular/must have and your late to getting in on it way after the fact. Well, expect to pay more I did when it came to the SSW LOTR statues. I missed the Balrog by a year or more and when I finally got it I payed $2200 for him. That's part of the game.

I'm keeping both, and will pose my Sith Eyes Anakin kneeling before the Holo-Sidious exclusive.

Since I just cancelled my ED-209 pre-order at my wife's request, I decided I might as well try for Vader. If I manage to score a non-attendee piece or get one on the wait list, I plan on posing him like that first shot in the teaser trailer with the hood up and the eyes staring straight ahead.

BTW, if us non-attendees are banking on trying to get one of the figures that doesn't get picked up at SDCC, which waiting list do we get on? The attendee, the non-attendee, or both???

I would recommend that anyone with the first Anakin as the Exclusive, you guys should really keep your order, even if you do score the SDCC, because I could see that as being a super exclusive Anakin figure that's the most valuable.

In the end anyway, if I miss out on the Anakin SDCC, then I'll just have money to spend on Maul whenever he is released, win-win situation for that.

Get on the non-attendee wait list ASAP, any returned items will go to that list. Once SDCC is over, it's over.

He's saying once it's sold out for non-attendees get on that wait list any not picked up by those going, canceled, etc will go to a wait list for those that missed out be it if they went to SDCC or not.

I have been busy all week and just saw Sith Anakin. I love the eyes, I wish Anakin had more scenes with those evil eyes.

I am going to SDCC so it shouldn't be too difficult for me to get. I got the ex. PF Luke last year without going to the con. SS makes it fairly easy to get what you want, but you gotta be on your toes.

Thanks for clarifying what I thought I said I said I said.

I was thinking of flipping me Anakin Ex., but now I sort of feel like I have something rare and precious on order, so maybe I'll just hold on to him. I'm not super-thrilled with the Holo-Sidious exclusive, but I sort of think it will change from the prototype in some way that will make it more worthwhile for display.

In any case, I'm excited about our first Sith announcement, even if it is, at it's heart, a glorified repaint I could probably do just as well myself. Looking forward to ordering up, all the same.

Its always good to have a pre-Vader Anakin.

Gives you another to pose with the inevitable Palpatine, while Sith Eyes Anakin can duel with Kenobi.

You make an excellent point. Sith Eyes can't really pose with Palpatine... Of the two Anakins, Sith Eyes is the definate must have. It's just hard to justify 55 plus CA sales tax (and con. admission and gas from LA) for what at heart is a slight repaint of a figure I already have. It would be easier to swallow if he's the only Anakin in my collection... but you make an excellent point.

You could probably flip the Holo-Sidious alone for the price of the figure if you write your eBay copy well enough.

I don't know. I'm flying from Missouri, staying in a hotel, paying all the con stuff, and paying taxes and it's worth it. So I guess I find it eas none the less. :lol

That's funny. But if I do flip it, I'll flip all of it and use some of the proceeds to get the regular. Hopefully it'll be so cool that I have to keep it, though.

THat's how I feel about Luke and Obi. Never ever sell. Blasters cool.

Thanks, gdb.

I think there is a good chance that the "Sith Eyes" Anakin will be much more sought after in time. Even though there are 6,000 Sith Eyes compared to the less than 2,000 Exclusive original Anakins, I would imagine almost everyone would rather have a Sith Eyes Anakin if they had to choose.

If we all had the Sith Eyes version already and they offered the pre-Vader Anakin now, would you buy it?

Yes, I would. Anakin in EP3 ranks up there in characters faves.
