I hope to see Mysterio with Bruce Campbell as well.

I think you could do 2 Villains in 4 and really make it work, if one of them is Connors as Lizard, since he had screen time in 3 films already, you could focus a bit more on Vulture or whoever without it feeling too cluttered. Also no need to have them team up or kill themselves for that matter.

Jesus the suicide rate for supervillains in SM would be enough of a deterrent not to be bad.

And if Mary Jane gets kidnapped again, she has to become addicted to crack or heroine or something, no regular person could have that many traumatic experiances and not walk around paranoid.

Apparently that news is fake an april fools joke

"Hi folks, Gary McLaughlin here from the Dundalk Democrat newspaper. I wrote the original article on this subject as an April Fools Day joke for our readers, back on April 1. However, I do not know what happened but due to a glitch on our system the story went out live again yesterday, and is making the rounds so unfortunately it is not true. "

I thought it was a joke in the first place.

:lol

I think if they were going to do a reboot they would do it now. But it really doesn't need one. 3 is the only one that people dislike.

No, there are people who dislike the whole trilogy and think Rami got it wrong.

I only liked SM2.

Good point, I should have said most people like them all but three. But my point is the same, the movies have been popular and well received by the majority of people so there isn't much reason for a reboot.

Same here. And I thought even 2 had its fair share of problems. I dont know - they just didnt take it seriously enough, IMO. And I got tired of all the villains not actually being villains, but rather just misunderstood, actually good people. And I dont think some of the special effects are very good. I thought Doctor Octopus' tentacles looked great, but then there'd be some scenes where they just have him AND Spiderman 100% CGI figures.

I dont know - for me it was just a lot of little problems adding up and making these movies less than great (which they should have beenthe best yet. SM has SO MUCH to work with).

I really only like Spiderman for the Villains. Parker is just soooooo lame.

I hadn't watched them in a while, but saw 2 the other day, he whines more then Willie from Temple of Doom.

Plus Tobey looks like hes 45 years old, those seens when hes running and gets his powers back or w/e, his face looked absurd.

I'd be thrilled with a reboot.

Same here. I thought Raimi did a fantastic job with all three (though 3 obviously is the most flawed.) Could Spidey's origin even be done that much better? I thought he nailed it on the head (with the exception of his Hollywood-grade costume randomly showing up without explaination.)

If they ever decided to "reboot" the series, I'd prefer it if it was in tone, rather than story. For instance, go ahead and recast, get a new director, change the tone up a bit, and go in another direction (a'la Batman Forever, The Incredible Hulk etc.) don't just remake the origin story with a new set of villains and call it a day.

I agree. Next to Batman, Spidey has the best villains to choose from, so coming up with new ideas shouldn't be hard.

I just don't see how any real Spidey fan would want a reboot again after this solid trilogy, and not new films that have so many more possibilities....

Some kids today (and i mean young adults in their early 20's....the xbox kids) Have no attention span, want constant ACTION ACTION ACTION. And every moment of every film to as be dark as possible.
IMO:D:monkey3

I'm sure there's a few out there(that actually understand PP) that totally think it was done wrong. And i at least respect that, but i bet most of it is spidey just wasn't badass cool actiony/darkness for them :)

I agree most real spidey fans are happy with the trilogy overall. I don't even know why were discussing it this much. BTW, i expect 4 to blow us all away! SM1 is still my fave.
