Thanks for letting me know. Its hard trying to plan my day/weekend around Stan. I've been to a couple of conventions but have never been to one with someone this iconic before.

Ya same for me. If Stan has any Q&A sessions or anything like that you should really try to make it. It was awesome hearing his take on everything going on in comics today.

Will be seeing him at WW Chicago tomorrow. Gonna get 8 pieces signed. Should be a blast. Can't wait to see him. It'll be my first time meeting the legend.

I haven't been this excited since i meet alice cooper at the airport a few years ago.

Stan "the man" Lee will also be at fan expo in Toronto this month. I think they're all sold out and its 50 a sig. I don't have either Spidey or cap, must decide what to bring now? You think he sign Joker PF base lol?

I can't wait to meet Lou Ferrigno (I hope i can get a hulk pose), Norman Reedus and Jon Bernthal both from walking dead.

I stopped going to WW years ago. I have been attending C2E2 the last few years instead. I like that Con much more than WW. It took the appearance of a legend like Stan to get me to go to WW Chicago again.

Wish Avery Brooks would have came down too but we got Nana Visitor. nonetheless I think this is a big step up for fan expo here in toronto, we got some great guests this year!

I last time i attended i think it was 4-5 years go to meet Bruce Campbell.I work 5 minutes away walk to metro convention center and i know alot of the property management so i could get in for free. But the event falls on a bad time for me since i tend to travel to Massachusetts for couple weeks for a huge ass family BBQ.

Damn, I totally miss out on that! By the time I heard he was going to be at the Expo it was already too late. It was sold out. Hope he comes again next year.

Stan has always been a blast to listen to and he's a really nice guy.

How long ago was your experience with him? At SDCC this year he was just short of rude honestly... I didn't see him talk to anyone, and it was rare that he even lifted his head up to look at people. Possible he was just having an off day, and I was ecstatic to get him to sign for me, but to say the experience was underwhelming would be an understatement...

At WW Con right now. Got 6 sigs on statues I brought. Just got done with my photo op. Stan was great. He was walking around durring his breaks & taking pics with peeps he met in the crowd. He stopped by George Perez's table and posed for pics with George. Talk about a show stopper.

Panel next and then 2 more sigs tomorrow. I won't even be able to walk the Con floor fully until tomorrow. This has been a blast so far. Gonna go get a Cap head sketch by George for my son while I'm waiting for the Stan panel.

Very nice set up. I actually had him sign 8 pieces total.
From Bowen Designs: FS painted & chrome museum Silver Surfer. FS Classic Cap & Thor museum statues. FS faux bronze smackdown Hulk.

From SSC: Spidey EX Com. Hulk EX Com. Custom stealth Iron Man Com repainted to red & gold with lights also changed to amber/yellow.

On the last day, I went over to George Perez's table and got 2 head sketches from him, Hulk & Thor. My last act as I was leaving the Con was to go back to Stan's booth and get both of George's sketches signed by the legend. When he saw George did the sketches he smiled and said I had good taste. He told me he loves George's work. Even his assistant leaned in to comment and watch Stan sign the sketches. It was a cool moment.

The Q & A was a blast. You have to love how Stan can work and hold a crowd. I hope he can make it back next year. I had such a blast that I would do it again. I'll take the whole family next year. I would love to do the photo op with the whole family. My kids are too young to understand who Stan is but as they get older, they can say they actually met the legend. I'm ready for round 2 at WW Chicago if it can happen. It's been a loooooong time since I felt like a little kid. That's exactly how I felt whenever I interacted with the man. It was a great time that I'll always remember.

Yup. That was me. I had to carry the Spidey Com back out to the car. I couldn't walk around with it the whole day. I missed the first few minutes of the panel because of that. I did make it back in time to see you and your son. I remember your son saying thank you to Stan. What a small world. I'm going to take both of my sons to the next Con if Stan makes it back next year. We just got back from our overseas vacation that Thursday night after the Con opened. The 7 hour time change was just too much for the kids. It even took a toll on me. In the end it was worth it. Let me know if you go to C2E2 or WW next year. I'd love to meet a fellow boardie and collector.

Congrats to all who have had their stuff signed by Stan the man..:hi5:
I also had the pleasure of meeting Stan on his first trip to Australia.
He attended the Oz-Comicon here in Melbourne this past June.
I had my Spidy com signed and a LE J.Scott Campbell print that is now
in the possession of King Darkness..please see next post.
Stan was charging $30 AUD per sig.

Cool!!! Yeah I definitely am going to C2E2 and WW next year. I have a few buddies I go with who also are big on collecting. I remember you because I was thinking that there couldn't be too many people walking around with that statue. You must have had a great, although exhausting, week!!!! Hopefully he'll be back.
