It's their standard large diamond base, @7-7/8" square with one corner lopped off, 11" on the diagonal. If you're not getting the speeder I suggest using a smaller one.
Thank you for the quick reply. Yeah I’ll be going with the standard so a smaller base might be the way to go.

Yeah it was tough passing on the speeder. I remember how much fun I had with the 12” Hasbro set back in the day. There’s just not room for too many vehicles in my display!

Maul marks my only prequel figure so far, with Clone Wars and ROTS Sidious figures on the way. And I’m waiting on the jar jar binks! I’m in day one!

Edit: I lied to yall. There is another. I have Jango, which I got second hand off eBay and arrived with a broken hip joint. Working on fixing him. Poor guy. A broken hip at his age.

I don't know what they go for these days on eBay and such, but the Hasbro Bloodfin can be a decent alternative, might cost as much as the additional HT price though.

It’s kind of annoying they don’t include the sand top for the base with the Collector’s. I plan to pose Maul in his Tatooine look, not Duel of the Fates.

This was my third ever HT PO. I started collecting this July. I don't collect Star Wars but Darth Maul is one of the few I'd get, not only is the likeness a banger but the value is very good for the cost.

Welcome to the party! It's a slippery slope once you start 🙃. I didn't collect SW either, basically just Marvel/DC, but ordered the Sideshow Maul, and it was downhill from there. The only Maul I passed on was the Solo one, and I still regret it. He's a striking character and he's fun to pose. Aside from him, I've got a Kylo Ren and an Obi-Wan Kenobi

Wonder if you got my cancelation. Sadly, I just sat down and thought about re-buying a figure I already had and said No.The head sculpt is the only real thing that made me want to get it again.
I ordered mine through my local Sideshow authorized retailer last month. I believe it was still available on the site when I got it. Has Maul 2.0 waitlisted?

Ah, if I were you I’d have cut my losses and sold the DX16/17 for at least some coin and upgraded.

Okay...as we all anxiously await the updated version, I took the v1 out for some exterior shots.

While the issues are still quite apparent, it doesn't keep the v1 from looking pretty cool out there...

Looking forward to returning to these locations next year with the v2 & the Bloodfin...

Honestly, the v1 looks great there. I don’t really need to upgrade for another $300+ because the old one is fine. Side by side, the 2.0 is better. However, on the shelf the old one displays great. Now, if my ocd can stay hidden, I won’t need to upgrade and waste money. That’s a big if…

I see this is common dilemma for collectors. If I had the DX16/17, I’d simply cut my losses and upgrade. The 2.0 is so much better (imo).

It’s an occurrence I’ll experience once INART comes out with their TDK Batman and I’ll have to let my DX19 go for a loss (which I got it on discount in the first place), but I’ll put that money towards the upgrade and be happier with the better version. It’s not like I threw away money too, cause the DX19 essentially was worth it as I enjoyed it during my ownership too.

He looks great out in those real settings.

The original was never bad, and the upgrades on 2.0 are certainly nice, but I don't think enough differs between them where it would feel like a massive upgrade to have the old and get the new to replace it.

For me it's a stroke of luck, I chose Sideshow over HT for the portrait back in the day, not realizing how that would work out overall. Since then, I could never afford after market prices on the HT, but low and behold, a retail opportunity came along and I get an even better version in the end, win win.
