The explanation he's endorsing undermines every other Force Sensitive before Rey and Kylo, going back thousands of years. Including the Chosen One and his son, who were weaklings in comparison. It's kinda like introducing a 10ft tall Predator to that franchise. It makes the original one weak in comparison. Or a T-Rex size Alien Queen, which is just ridiculous. A cheap plot device is what it is.

Yeah well, sadly, I tossed that franchise (a long with a few others) into the ashcan as well. I still have Fallout so I'm good.

Over ten years ago I went on a date with a nice Christian girl whose last name was Snoke.
We ended up falling asleep on the couch at her grandmother's house. I was a perfect gentleman back in those days so nothing happened.
But two things I remember....I watched "Animal House" on TBS while she was asleep and even censored I laughed my ass off. Love that movie.
The other thing was that her grandma had a picture hanging which was a drawing of the Virgin Mary I was totally transfixed by....she was HOT. Like the hottest Virgin Mary I'd ever seen. If there had been camera phones in those days I'd have snapped a pic. I've never seen Virgin Mary depicted as a hot young piece of ass before. Or since, now that I think about it.
Anyway, I think she got married and had kids. Oh well. I still think of hot Virgin Mary when I hear the name Snoke.

When she touched Luke's lightsaber in TFA , the force entered her body. She gained the force powers of Anakin, that's why she had the force vision of Vader, heard the voices of Old and Young Ben and Yoda. She already had powers, but the force fast tracked her abilities. Hey it's as a theory as good as any other! That's why the saber called to her, it was the will of the force. She is the person that the force has chosen to rebuild the New Jedi Order, it was not Luke. Luke had fulfilled his purpose, overthrow Vader and Palpatine, not start a new order.

The Force can go **** off at this point...
Since Ahsoka survived Rebels being pulled out of the past by Ezra, she should be the one that calls out to Rey and trains her. She too can be a hermit and on some hidden planet somewhere and be her new mentor... You know, more girl power for the Force is female. And then they can sit around a campfire telling stories of how lame Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda Luke, and even Han, Poe & Finn are/were. Cause it's not like Rey actually needs to train or anything. Ahsoka can even give her a new lightsaber. Why should Rey bother with the tedious waste of time of learning how to build one of her own? She just needs to spar with some rocks anyway to become a master with the lightsaber.
Now that could be a movie all by itself...

Facts are Luke had like a few hours “training” at best....he was born with the talent to bullseye womprats, it was likely him using the force without knowledge...

All Ben do was “show him a larger world”
Which is why he was able to his a 2 meter exaust port, when a seasoned x-wing pilot missed with a computer.

Your Rey part is very well articulated great job there your insight made it very easy to extrapolate the positives from the story structure instead of wasting energy focusing on the negatives
Regarding Luke we can’t close the book on him just yet though.

Wasn’t Anakin’s fast tracked, he was a freaking kid while piloting in a pod race that LUCAS HIMSELF said Anakin was the ONLY human that could do it because of his strong connection to the force.
Not since BvS have I seen complaints be disolved so quickly lol

Luke is not a very good shot in a New Hope. He wasn't all that familiar with guns. He fires his blaster rifle like over a dozen times before he kills one of the Stormtroopers here. Experienced marksman Liea does much better.
What Rey did was reflexive. No tapping into the Force. No guidance from an Obi Wan.
