Word is Lucas made the change in prep for the 3D theatrical re-releases that ended up being canceled.

Otherwise the color corrections and 4K HDR are absolutely awesome. The rows of Troopers and Scouts when the Emperor arrives at the DS in ROTJ are so clear it almost looks like real life.

I can only hope that Harmy uses these transfers as a starting point for a new release of the Despecialized OT.

Not just the new(ish) curse word but the timing between shots has been trimmed down to near simultaneous now lol

So Greedo curses him out, shoots first, misses, then gets blown away?

It was bad enough that they made him shoot first and miss, but now he telegraphs his kill shot by cursing at Han first, and then he misses? Lucas keeps topping himself some how.

In about 10 years they'll have Gredo slip on a banana peel on his way to Han's table, curse, shoot, miss, then get shot.

Has anyone confirmed what the hell Greedo is actually saying? I mean, the actual meaning? I have heard its a curse of some kind, but just sounds dumb.

I assume its Lucas pulling an inside joke? that's my best guess. Whatever, I am over any version of the 'Special Editions!'

So glad I own the Despecialized Editions.

I'll go day 1. But there is zero hype for it. A Star Wars film.

Same, but with the Mandalorian being as good as it is thus far, I am 'over' the movies for now. I will see any SW movie, naturally, but I'd be lying if I said I was excited for this one. More nervous as to who (or what) else they kill off!

Some are claiming it?s the same warning Sebulba threatened little Annie with meaning this will be the end of you or some crap like that.

To me what Greedo says sounds slightly different than Sebulba but ymmv.

In the next version after Greedo says "Maclunkey!" he'll pull out a heavy minigun and wildly fire hundreds of shots in an arc around Han, utterly obliterating the wall behind him. Han will then reach across the table, squeeze Greedo's nose and say "honk," Greedo dies.
