Lol that justs a badass spiced up drug Smuggler. Speed spice does wonders for those reflexes

When speaking with Han, Kylo says he's "just a memory", to which Han answers, "your memory". Seeing that their conversation is nearly identical to what they say to each other on the bridge in TFA, I think that's all Han is: a visualized memory to aid Kylo's return to the light. Now, I can get behind that Leia had a lot to do with that, but I don't think (in ANY way) that it's supposed to be Han's spirit or ghost.

I never once thought Han was a "ghost." He was totally just in Kylo's mind.

It is Kylo's mind but as other have noted memories don't change, but that's where the force projection comes in, he literally projected han from his memory and had a conversation with him. That's why the conversation wasn't exactly the same as the one on the bridge yet very similar at the same time. It was his way of changing/ correcting his past mistake by doing it over again. His second chance if you will

Of course it's not an exactly same memory. Ben imagines his father and re-lives the moment as he wanted.

Or as it should have been, he made a mistake and is now mentally coming to terms with it and this is his way of doing it. Leia however did something prior to that to get him to stop, she must have been talking to him in his mind, I'm not sure why it killed her or why she didn't attempt this earlier but whatever she did ended the moment Rey stabbed his ass which severed the connection and explains why Rey said Leia the moment she landed the blow (cause she felt leia leaving his presence and realized Leia was doing something with her son at the time she struck that blow). It all happened so fast that she didn't realize this before she stuck him in the gut until she felt Leia's essence leave when the connection was severed by her own hands.

What if the entire ST was in Ben's mind? :horror :panic:

I already have major issues with TROS please don?t do that lol

J Abrams one small thing, when you bring me out can you introduce me as Palpatine.

Going back to ROTS it just hit me now while watching the trailer for it and come on who doesn?t love the PT trailers they were all awesome no doubt about that but holy crap watching this trailer now makes it seem so obvious to me just how desperate George Lucas must?ve been at that time due to the PT backlash that he pretty much almost gave away the entire movie away in this trailer sheesh.

PT are bad movies with bad script but good continuity and some cool ass looking **** sprinkled in. The ST aren't bad movies per say but they have terrible continuity as a trilogy and with the overall star wars story. Atleast GL stuck with a vision (regardless of how ****** it was) when filming the PT, all that that crap from phantom menace to rotj feels cohesive and part of the same overall story arc. The ST is a ****ing disjointed mess mainly due to the 2nd film and rian Johnson.

This. Pt Is bad but not on the level of the ST. The ST has no memorable moments. And TLJ surpassed clone wars as the most hated Star Wars movie

So ? You know what happens. It?s not some big secret that anakin was gonna turn. Still the best Star Wars trailer ever released.

He was right when he said the jedi are evil but also wrong thinking the sith were not. What is more evil then forbidding love or attachment or keeping a brother and sister seperated from from each other and raise them believing they were alone with no family. Who tells a son to kill his own father!!! Who takes kids from their parents at a young age and tells them to forget about them (they arent important) even if they are in a dire situation- and To rejoice at thier death even though you could have saved them from that horrible end.

The father told him both jedi and sith were naivee to think there is only 2 paths in the force. There is another path the skywalker path, a balanced path in between them. Both the sith and the old jedi had to die and anakin was the catalyst to all of it. He broke the jedi code by having a fobidden love affair with padme who then had two kids. The skywalker family was built on love and attachment which changed the jedi path into something better not bogged down by crazy idealogies or dogmatic rules. Rey represents the new skywalker jedi the old ways are dead, thebskywalker legacy is just that a new form of jedi that is more balanced and at peace with thier inner darkness; they embrace their emotions - emotion yet peace a more balanced way. Moreover all those old jedi rules are gone they died when yoda nuked that tree (symbolism). The Skywalker way is the new jedi religion/code and why rey said her name was skywalker at the end (also to show her “love” for them and to pay her respects to everything they did for her).

Despite the movie's issues, I really liked that scene. It felt soothing after seeing him die in TFA.

Agreed. Plus I would have liked Chewie having the same reaction to Han's death as he had to Leia's. I know he was in the middle of a firefight, but still...

Wrong. PT is still way worse then the ST.

PT = more original
ST = better made (except TROS)

Uhhh, Jye? ROTS was spoiled as far back as the 70s and 80s.

Everyone knew that Palpatine was going to become Emperor, all the Jedi were going to be purged and Anakin would become Vader.

but the sentimental sap in me just prefers it as a true reconciliation between father and son.

Or it could be a murderer imagining his victim forgiving him. :rotfl

I'm on the "memory" camp. I don't think Han was ever there. It's all in Kylo's head.

Yes but the PT didn?t rely on nostalgia to get butts in seats. It told its own story without relying on what cane before. Yea they are horrible story telling wise especially AOTc but rots as a whole is just a better film. Flaws and all. Defending the ST is like defending a kid who keeps acting up at home even tho he should no better.

This thread is people bringing up the stupidity in some scenes and two or three guys defending how they make sense through the magic of retcon lol

Actually, I think the PT relied on nostalgia equally with the ST. The PT was all about the fall of the Jedi and the origin of Vader. That was the main draw to it IMO.

All SW movies since the OT relied on nostalgia. This is why they do so well in the USA, and less well elsewhere.

Too true, fans of a certain age are predisposed to like the PT and/or the ST based on their connections to the OT. The PT however had more original "situations" even if it did have fan service.

I don't know if this was posted here before (I had to avoid this thread until I saw the movie):

DO IT! :rotfl
