Never saw the problem people had with Midichlorians. Sure it show's someones potential, but that person still needed to train to speak and use the Force.

There's actual art of Sifo-Dyas that's been done, & he ain't no Lee or McDiarmid.

They were going to base him on one of ILM's conceptual artists, an Asian guy that I forget the name of right now.

Midiclorians would have been less offensive if they hadn't been a cause but an effect. It would have gone over better if Midiclorians didn't cause a Jedi to have the Force but instead they are attracted to it, like a moth to a light. They would still be an indicator but not the propegator of one's potential as a Force sensitive.
