I believe the idea was that Bor Gullet puts you into a trance like truth serum that makes you answer all questions truthfully for however long you can last until your brain is fried. Otherwise what difference does it make if "Bor Gullet will know the truth" if he can't actually speak words and tell anyone else, lol.

Yes I love the rathtars too I just wouldn't consider them "OT worthy." :) They're more "Critters/Little Shop of Horrors/Big Trouble in Little China" worthy, which is *awesome* since a big part of TFA's aesthetic was to design it as if it really did come out three years after ROTJ. So rathtars fit right in with all those 1986 beasties from the movies I just mentioned plus the grating and big doors on Han's ship that looked like they had giant yellow "W's" painted on them were straight out of ALIENS. Completing the 1986 vibe were all the Jedha aliens that looked like the goblins from Labyrinth. Very cool.

Yeah, I guess they fall short of OT worthy, which are all more puppety and unblinking-masky. Which is funny to say as a compliment but RO manages to run with it and not embrace it as camp or parody.

Oops I meant "Jakku" aliens looking like Labyrinth goblins not Jedha. But yeah Two-Tubes is borderline Fett awesome.

It's weird the lamest aliens in RO are the ones from the OT (Walrusman and Dr. What's his name) while the best aliens in TFA/TLJ are the ones from the OT (Ackbar and Nien Nunb.)

Side-by-side, the Walrusman from RO looked quite different to Walrusman from the cantina. Not sure what happened there.

Mark Hamill said he told Rian that they needed to make a movie for the fans and that Rian replied "No. We need to think about our movie and what we want to do." Then people in the audience started clapping and Mark stopped talking mid sentence with a disgusted look on his face and he looked down with hands covering his mouth, shaking his head. Rian says he doesn't care if the fans hate the film because he appreciates their passion.

Hamill does seem disappointed in that moment.

My favorite part was at the end, where he says “promise me, no more Death Stars. No more Skywalkers either.” **** yes. To hear Mark say that is great. I’ve been sick of it since The Force Awakens.

Its like he's sitting next to his rapist.

Online SW fandom hates feminist agenda.

Also got more **** jokes. :joy

Quality doesn't matter today. Only agenda driven political statements matter to the folks in charge.

The RO Jedha streets "burka brides" were a little odd - but I guess it was all part of the whole morally murky RO visual thematics of "terrorists" in a desert locale with Arab architecture engaged in asymmetric warfare against an "occupying military" there to take natural resources (while battling/destroying the many-centuries-old religion resident there.) In a place that sounds just a tad like the certain city just outside Mecca (that would be JEDDAH, which is totally different from JEDHA.):slap

And all I can say about Snoke is thank goodness he didn't dress in black and wear a hood, because they could have just CGI'ed Rey's head onto Luke's body and Kylo's head onto Vader's body and then cut-pasted the entire ROTJ throne room sequence into TLJ and no one would have noticed the difference.:rotfl

:lol :lol :lol

Good real world connections.

Snoke dressed single and ready to mingle. I bet those lobster guys saw a lot of things they were happy to have lightsabered out of their heads.

Oh man lol

He does - in interview after interview. People keep posting that "ugh another youtube clip" comment but when you actually watch them you start to see the pieces fall together. Very clearly. His body language. His sardonic asides. Then his sitting up and getting back to the script. To deny it is laughable.

What I really want to see is the interview with Hamill in five years, once all this stuff has long gone and Disney doesn't have him under the financial yoke. To hear him tell what really happened in 2016 to 2018 without the immense pressures, the filters and the faux-apologies.

:lol :lol :lol

Yeah. I mean I get it - it's a galaxy far far away and all that. I get the Sultan/Jabba subtext and understood people's concerns. But I kinda felt that aspect (that was SO crystal clear) was a little disturbing in RO for all the reasons I listed - and add in that a few of Saw's who-cares-about-civilians "extremists" look like they literally stepped out of an ISIS recruitment video. You couple that with Weitz's hard-left tweets and it leaves a mildly queasy aftertaste for sure.

It’s interesting how many people care about what Hamill has to say about the SW films, but completely shut his political opinions out when he voices them.....

I mean, who really cares what the actor thinks?

A lot of actors hate the films the do....

Kettle ....meet pot.....

Of course it's different.

I don't know the guy cause of who he voted for in 1977. I could gives a rat's ***.

But I care about his opinions on the thing he's actually KNOWN for.

You're really reaching to paint anyone that hated TLJ as some kind of alt right Nazi.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar and a turd of a movie is just a big old stinking steaming turd.

Actually the goal is to pull in a wider audience to make more money. Hence the cynical pandering to females.
