Christ we have to wait for a-dev to catch this it will be months before this movie can officially be crowned a true successor to T2 or not.

But if Las Vegas were to drop a line on it today I know which way I would bet just based off that over the top cargo place battle alone lol

Next thursday or friday I think. Hopefully. Woulda gone this week but it was a bit awkward.

Yeah I've got those NECA figures ordered. Really want a young Carl figure too, I hope they have that coming in a second series. More likely a BD old Carl though.

The "All things TERMINATOR" thread.

I would place Linda Hamilton return about as pointless a return as the OT characters.

Her being onscreen interacting with Arnold was a given so that doesn?t give it any points over the ST mishandling of those characters not coming together.

I could buy her hatred of Carl he wasn?t UB but I couldn?t accept Carl?s affinity towards her and John he didn?t even know them.

I don?t know I could be wrong greater minds on here are much better at character deconstruction than I am I just operate at a blunt force character dissection level but less like a frog on a table and more like a frog under a car tire lol

At least Dark Fate had a scene with the 'Big 3' in it all at the same time


The Arnie/Linda interactions are what I'm looking forward to the most. I expect to enjoy that even if I've already written it off as non-canon as I'm watching it.

I'll give you that one, I don't believe four foot tall, 75 pound Dani would be the leader of the resistance. She was the worst part for me.

I had no idea they were going to treat it as a 'reveal' that she is the future Leader of the Resistance. We all instantly assumed that was the case as soon as it was clear she was the new target.

Matter of fact the main spoiler of the movie was pretty easy to deduce from the trailers, interviews, Convention appearances.

Heck it was even pretty obvious that Dani's brother was a dead man when one of the trailers had her saying something like ''no one else will die because of me''

Her size is not the issue I mean look at this no chin q-tip shaped a-hole who instantly became as lethal as the Predator special forces unit with his assault weapon.

Someone small with a great weapon of his own once said size matters not!

Give Dani a big gun and she will cause great damage like anyone else determined to eliminate threats.

Sarah assumed that she was another "mother" target until Grace revealed that it will eventually be Dani herself who helps unify the Resistance.

I never got the impression that she was a great tactical leader in the tradition of John Connor, or would ever become someone who'd teach people how to smash the defense grid, etc. In fact she could just be link in the chain of many people who unify the humans and was simply targeted because Legion assumed that she'd be the weakest link.

And I had forgotten that when a T-800 drops you he continues firing when you're down. Freaking brutal.

Yeah all the Arnie/Linda scenes were well done IMO. I didn't mind her swearing since she was in "Logan" mode and had already developed a bit of a potty mouth in T2.

And even in Logan it initially took me out of the movie since it felt like they were trying to squeeze in three F-bombs into every sentence and Logan had never talked like that in any previous film. But it didn't bother me for Sarah since she started moving in that direction as soon as she pressed the button of the hydraulic press, lol.
