I think he's referring to the scene where Stark, Rodgers and Fury are sitting around the table
after Coulson's death. Seriously, are we done with spoiler tags yet?

Tony's wearing a Black Sabbath shirt and his arc reactor is glowing blue underneath. But in a few shots the production crew forgot to turn the light on so it's not glowing. Oops.

Thank You :hi5:

She keeps asking me if I asked Mike already, I told her yes but that's he's probably busy which is why he must've missed ny earlier posts on this subject. :lol

:lol. I've been away from the boards for the most part in the last week, I didn't see anything asked me anything.

Actually, the arc reactor glows and moves the more that he needs it, remember it doesn't power him, it keeps the shrapnel from his chest. In Iron Man 1 it light up when it was first put on and was seen on in the video surveillance, it then was "dormant" really after that until the 2.0 scene, some scenes on and some scenes off.

The leading thought is that as he exerts himself, the shrapnel would be pushing forward and so the arc would kick on to pull it or keep it back in place. If you watch the film as Tony gets upset or angry it lights up because the quickening of his pulse and heartrate would cause the shrapnel to continue to push towards his heart.

As he was sitting around the table after Coulson died, he was going through a range of emotions so the change in his heartrates, etc it would continuously go on and off, blink if you will. Even during the Loki scene it's off and on because Tony is unsuited facing a god and trying to keep his cool, it would be trying to counteract his body changes which could send the pieces into his heart and kill him.

Theoretically as he has sex for example, his arc should blink and glow in different intensities because of all of the exertions and the heart rate changes.

Thanks Mike, i'll share with the wife. :lol

Speaking of Stark's arc reactor: Why the hell does he act like someone removed his batteries when Stane took out his arc reactor in IM1? I always thought that was one of the stupidest parts of the movie. Taking out the arc reactor wouldn't make him feel any different...until he died.

wasnt he stunned by that mini boom box? :lol

You'll have to wait, Mike's on a union break. :lol

I guess I was referring to when he stumbled down to his workshop. Thinking back on it, he probably still was feeling the effects of Stane's gadget. They just made it seem like he was going to keel over if he didn't have that arc reactor in right away.

Crisis averted :lol

Well, he was going to pretty quick with that shrapnel moving towards his heart. So it was a total combo of both causing him to be pretty near death.

Oh I know the movie was awesome, I saw it in 2D and will be going again this Saturday. :D Will probably just go with 2D again if the 3D is nothing to write home about.

Yeah, it didn't really seem like it was really noticeable. Hell, I more went to see it for the IMAX part than the 3D. When I see it one last time it will be in 2D like my second trip.

Even though it already "answered", the device Stane used was a paralyzing tool. He was fighting against the paralysis to try and move, Stane planned for him to simply get shocked and stay in one place until he died.

I keep forgetting to ask, how was it in 3D?
It was my first 3D viewing since I was like 10, and I thought it was absolutely terrible.
Everyone else seems to disagree so maybe it was just my theater or somthing, but I never want to sit through that again.
