The last half hour looked great in 3D and I thought the effects worked well with all the stuff happening in the air above and around New York City. There wasn't a lot of standout 3D stuff in the first half, but the climax made up for it. Several of the shots of Iron Man and others flying around the city had nice depth to them, and the scene where the aliens first began flying through the portal was cool--as the camera passed through it, I got a little dizzy. In a good/fun way.

MIB3 should easily overtake Avengers next weekend for the #1 spot.

Avengers will have to settle for a measly 2nd place. :lol

We need Bill Gates to go see Avengers and pay 1.3 Billion for his ticket so that it can knock off Crapatar. :lol

You guys that are seeing this multiple times should've waited till it was out for awhile to boost it some. With the movies that are coming out in the next few weeks it will be hard for it to keep up the pace it was on. I'm sure it's going to be in theaters most of the summer. I'll try and see it again in 2D.

I took my mom out to the IMAX 3d show today. It was pretty cool, but I always feel like I don't really notice the 3D effect as I get into watching the movie. Avatar is still the only 3D movie that I actively noticed the 3D a lot throughout the entire film. Still pretty awesome to see it on the gigantic screen.

Just arrived at theater for my second viewing! :rock

I. Love. This. Movie. :lecture

So freaking awesome. Early afternoon showing on its third weekend and the theater was still packed and I *still* almost missed the "puny god" line amid the cheering. What a crowd pleaser.

I did catch a couple of things I missed the first time like the bit about Odin sending Thor to Earth and Stark calling Hawkeye "Legolas." :lol

I also like that after Fury and Rogers talk about Cap not sleeping that we get to see him appear to doze off during the final shawarma scene. A well deserved rest. :)

One question, why did the chitauri all keel over like Episode I Battle Droids when Stark blew up the mothership?

He's not sleeping. That scene was shot after the premiere and Evans was growing a beard for his next role. His hand is up on his face covering a prosthetic covering said beard. :lol

Yup, the single bad point of the movie which has yet to be explained.

Ha, interesting. Even with that being the real world explanatin I still like assuming that Steve was catching some much needed z's. :D

Ah, I thought their weird neural link might have been something from the new comics. Guess not. Strange.

Yeah, to further disprove any kind of "link," they specifically show one of the Chitauri tearing off his mask and yelling. So still a big WTF. :lol
