A shame too, because after a handful of viewings, I can't help but think how much better Cap would've looked if he'd had the TFA costume. :(

The whole costume isn't a problem. Actually, I think the body portion of the costume is a bit better but I agree the mask from TFA is a bit better.

I definitely prefer the TFA costume. I got used to the Avengers costume after seeing it in action, but I still prefer the first one--and I definitely prefer the first helmet. That is the biggest weakness of the costume redesign.

Whedon changed the helmet from the earlier (much better) designs (that you see everywhere) to the poopy one used in the movie, thus proving the man is not infallible.

I made this a couple weeks ago, but haven't had the chance to post it here:

That helmet improves things a lot. Just a better helmet makes a huge difference.

I'd like to see the brown leather belt and combat boots like The Ultimates suit, and maybe a bit less form fitting.

The CA:TFA suit was just better. They need to go in that direction for CA2.

I don't think they'll find much feedback/fan reaction that's claiming they liked the outfit in The Avengers. The helmet couldn't possibly get worse.

I got bored. Indulge me. I changed the color of the chinstrap to fit in with the rest of the suit.

Andrew Garfield (Spider-Man) wants to join The Avengers.

Have you seen The Avengers? If Sony would let you assemble, would you? After all, Spidey eventually becomes a member of the team in the comics ...

I saw it, and I was blown away. And I'm going to see it again this weekend. I have no problem adding to the amount of money it's making! [Laughs.] Joss Whedon is a genius, and it's an incredible cast. I was very, very jealous, and I wanted to jump on the screen and play with them. It killed me that I wasn't in it, but I understand why, and I'm not insulted. But hey, if Samuel L. Jackson wants to give me a shout, I'm there for the next one!

I like your spirit, Andrew, but it'll never be. Shame.

Any GI Joe fans get a "Serpentor" vibe when Loki was flying through the city on his air chariot clad in green and gold with a cape and flamboyant helm? :D

Maybe if he'd scream a little more. :wink1:

I posted this in the upcoming bluray thread and I'll post it here as well. How great would it be if we got this?

I must be able to stick my movies on the shelf. The only exception I've ever made was the Lost boxed set. Other than that, I don't have room for those giant sized fancy sculptures or toys or models that open up to hold the discs inside. Whether it's the Enterprise or the Batmobile or an Alien or an Ape head, I don't go for those elaborate space hogs.

That being said, that helicarrier looks cool.
