haha, u just made my day. thanks! being totally predictable, u fell RIGHT into the trap of misquoting me. my post above follows the one u quoted, which clearly stated my position on the differences and SIMILARITIES in genre, specifically the superhero genre. something you conveniently chose to ignore. because ultimately your only recourse against me is to keep sidestepping my point about over-saturation of the genre as a whole.
as much i think marvel has had a smart business plan (also stated an earlier post of mine), the genre AS A WHOLE is starting to suffer, what with all the countless characters being adapted, and all the reboots. we are in a way different era than from the 70s, 80s and 90s. things happen at a much more accelerated pace now. with the omnipresence of the internet, news & updates about movies (including superhero movies) come fast & furious, and the information overload also adds to the feeling of superhero films being everywhere, all the time. granted, most of the stuff is sought out by film geeks, but it does seep through in things like social media where joe public absorbs it.
quality control is also a concern. my worry is for the future --- where warners are planning to reboot batman --- things like that happening. so, add ALL that stuff up and people will eventually get tired. these concerns and opinions of mine (and i never passed them off as cold hard fact) are valid, so it would've been nice if u could respect them. but it is obviously asking too much of u.
anyway, it's been fun, but i've more than made my point by now. so that's all i'll say on this matter. feel free to keep flailing around for more limp attacks. my popcorn's ready, boy!
