Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Did Evans lose 50lbs of muscle? He looks like some dork dressed up at SDCC.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

I still find it a little hard to believe that The Avengers captured Loki...he doesn't seem like he would get captured; and if he did, Thor would just bring him to Odin.

If you hit up i09 and read, they've posted the actual last scene of the film which puts this entire thing into perspective and answers your question. Not sure though if you all want to be that spoiled.

Here we go:

Stellan Skarsgaard has confirmed he is in the final scene of the movie, which he recently shot in New York. That syncs up with a recent set report in which Thor and Loki are seen together, holding a piece of Asgardian tech and disappearing into the clouds, while the rest of the Avengers and Skarsgaard's character Erik Selvig look on. The scene also reportedly features some dialogue between Loki, Black Widow, and Hawkeye, which seems like a bit of an unlikely combination, but hardly impossible. And in the end, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner drive away in Tony's convertible, while Captain America rides off on his motorcycle in the opposite direction. Anyway, there a few more details at the link.

Re: The Avengers: The Motion Picture Discussion Thread

Not sure I like how the mask goes with the suit, it most likely will look better on film, but the WWII mask and suit I liked straight away.
I think the mask is the problem, it does make the top of his head look eggish

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. I really prefer the helmet look with the chin strap and all. This looks too cartoonish and just makes his head look too egg shape. Oh and I wish the belt were brown and not blue.

It looks like that in a lot of the pics I've seen.

Wide angle lenses will add 10 pounds... Those shots were taken with telephoto lenses which tend to make a subject seem a bit more svelte.

Dont know what that says about Scarjo tho...

Shoot I didn't realize that literally was the last scene of the movie when I skimmed it. That'll teach me to pay better attention to warnings! :slap
