Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

From SHH, Hans Zimmer on the Score for The Dark Knight Rises!

Batman Begins and The Dark Knight composer Hans Zimmer talked to PopcornBiz about working again with Christopher Nolan on The Dark Knight Rises.

“He was going to come over next week,” chuckled Zimmer. “We start early. I know he's puttering around with ideas, and we sort of sneak up on things.”

“Working with Chris, he gives me all the freedom in the world and encourages me to go and be daring and unusual and crazy and all those sorts of things and be able to be the sort of emotional center of the film,” he told PopcornBiz. “It's very give and take. I'll start long before he starts shooting. Our conversations start there and it goes both ways: we just have conversations about the movie and less about what the music has to do, and it really comes out of that, whereby I felt that there was a real emotional core to be had and that that was something that the music had to do and I hung on that for dear life.”

To be honest i'm looking fwd to the score almost as much as the movie itself! Zimmer's work with Nolan has been nothing short of stunning - can't wait to hear what he comes with for the finale.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

Burtons Batman was mainly revenge based, Schumacher's Batman was based on a retarded acid trip. Where as Nolan's Batman is based on doing the greater good. He didn't kill Ras because it was Ras' actions that lead to the ended of his life. As for Ras coming back, if they went that route, it would be someone new who's taken the name of Ras. That was set up in 'Begins' when Neeson says Ras is just a name.

Here's a link to check out all of Batman's villains. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman_villains

I'm glad I'm not the only person to admit the Schumacher movies were created while someone was under the influence of something.

I think Hush would be alright in Nolan's Gothamverse. He could possibly combine Hush with Black Mask in some form and that might be cool tool.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

This guy as the joker, who originally said to be the Riddler:

Joseph Gorden-Levitt

And no problem about a few scenes with the joker. Little CGI and it´ll be a perfect closure to the Joker story, maybe combining it with narrows finally and wrapping up the arkham stuff.

Dunno about the titel too, btw.
Why not "Batman"?
Nolan said the 3rd is the last, that he´s hangin´it all on the nail, since it´s a realistic universer where he´s not doing it forever.
So he´s going down as legend and why not the title of said legend for the movie?

I doubt they'll use Hush since they haven't set up the whole Jason Todd story line, and that would be another two movies at least. Plus it would also mean Robin would be in the movie, and that is sooooooooo not cool with me.

Batman:Under the red hood explained the hole Jason Todd thingy pretty well.

Could made it similar for Hush.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

At the end of Begins Joker was setup for the 2nd film. At the end of TDK Batman himself was setup to be the villian for the 3rd film. In order for the flow to work the only villian that would make sense is one that takes the law into their own hands trying to do Batmans job while the entire city is still hating on Bats. Of course Batman would have to step in and right the ship once the boundaries were pushed too far and lines got crossed by whomever was filling in. I think it was already hinted at the beginning of TDK as well when Batman has to stop the imposter Batmen from crossing the line.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

Hmm so who's the ani-hero? Two Face would have been perfect for that role...

Catwoman is just in it for the fun of it.

I don't see Black Mask as an anti-hero..

hmm

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

Black Mask makes perfect sense, he's realistic, has a history with Bruce, parents had a history with Thomas and Martha, can be a competitor physically and financially, and fills the gap in organised crime. Tom Hardy who was already cast would fit into that type of role much better then any of the other villains left not ruled out. Plus Mask has a history with Catwoman if they decide to include her.

Mask is a mirror of Wayne, a kid given every oppurtunity to just be a trust fund baby but decided they wanted more. They both don masks to hide theyre public personas. And keep in mind the Police are likely to play a large part as the antagonists in this movie and I'd be surprised if Scarecrow didn't have another quick cameo as well.

I don't know much about this Black Mask guy, but you have me sold Deckard.

I feel like black mask is a fan favorite for the moment but casting him in this next movie could make the character another rogue to an iconic villain if done correctly. We'll have to wait and see I guess

I like this idea..a warped perspective on escalation. I'm thinking the movie might play on point of view.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

Hmmm, interesting. You may be on to something in combination with what wofford said. Perhaps some 'villain' steps into the void from Batman going underground/retiring for a period, but goes way over the line and causes mayhem, forcing The Dark Knight to Rise again and redeem himself.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

We can speculate as much as we want about the plot and story but I'm sure it's nothing like what we conjure up. It'll probably blow us away (it should with the amount of time they've had working on it).

I'm looking forward to the new designs for this film, mainly the new TDKR Batsuit and possibly new vehicles (please, PLEASE have a new Batmobile).

A confirmed villain/villains will be nice too.
