Well said again... Man if I got offended by other peoples hate for a films I like then I could have never entered the Amazing Spider-man 2 thread :)

I do also want to make it clear I'm not offended people didn't like the films. That's never been the issue but more so when people have tried to mention they like something only to get an essay on why they are wrong. That gets old and and a bit irritating. The only thing I've been offended about I guess was someone who was a friend trolling me for liking the film. It is what it is.

DiFabio is one of the funnest guys on these boards to agree with. When he shares your enthusiasm for a movie, or hates the same one that you do, you are in for one hell of a fun ride.

I think I just got bummed that my bud doesn't share my enthusiasm for The Hobbit because I like them so much dammit.

I think it's awesome that I have friends here who completely and absolutely disagree with me on the merits of this film, and yet we remain friends.

Mostly, I found myself disappointed in the final installment for too many reasons to even begin to type out on an iPad. Honestly, I'm hoping to enjoy the EE more. I have yet to see a single EE in the Hobbit series. I'm waiting for a box set.

Was tryimg to figure out when I became a stone troll, and still not quite sure... :dunno

Might have been this exchange. Can't be positive, because I come here mostly for relief from my three jobs, and just mess around with all my buddies here. Don't know why it's bothering me, but I just can't put my finger on it...

Let us know Flo...

But I'm almost certain you'll fall into the PJ apologist Josh fun loving crowd. :1-1:

Flosi will love it. You can take that to the bank. :p

I heard it's pretty bad. May wait for blu-ray.

I can sleep well being that. :)

It's not.

I sleep well, and it's a bad film... ;)

Any one else get a Thulsa Doom vibe when Thranduil turned away from Tauriel and then quickly sliced her bow? I was like holy crap I hope her head doesn't fall off. :lol

One of the constant chatters when that bit hit from the trailer was Thranduil might kill her for whatever reason. I'm glad he didn't even if his character is a bit of a ****. Though maybe he should have with that take love from me line and kiss. :lol

I finally saw this yesterday. We all loved it. The only thing that I didn't like was when
Thranduil sent Legolas on a quest to find Aragorn.
It felt shoehorned into an otherwise great scene.

For the EE Thranduil is going to say "There's a Master's Deputy hiding down in Dale that I'd like you to seek out, I have a great grievance against him," thus kicking off the epic Legolas v Alfrid trilogy, told in six parts beginning in 2017.

I watched the EE of Fellowship last night. I have to admit, I'm not the biggest fan of The Hobbit films (I like them, they just had little impact on me like the LOTR trilogy) but Fellowship I feel is only enhanced by The Hobbit films. Especially Gandalf's sacrifice in Fellowship seemed much more powerful now seeing The Hobbit trilogy. Not going to get into a detailed analysis of the things I liked/disliked about the connections between trilogies but as a whole I feel that the LOTR trilogy benefits from The Hobbit films. It will be fun one day to watch them all in order.

Watching FOTR I thought it might be jarring to see Gandalf so chummy with Saruman after their disagreements in The Hobbit trilogy but after their pleasantries Saruman quickly turned to chiding Gandalf about not realizing that Bilbo had the Ring.

Also watching BOTFA for the third time (and counting!) I specifically noticed that when Galadriel was countering Sauron that Saruman actually appeared to be cowering in fear. As if at that moment he realized he was facing the most terrifying foe...and potentially most wonderful ally.

Its also good that PJ had Bilbo tell Gandalf that he lost the Ring. Otherwise the wizard's surprise at Bilbo's disappearance during his birthday party would have been very misplaced.
