lets stop with the scale nonsense, this is 1/4 scale for sure.

See below movie shot of hulk + thor standing next to each other, thor's top of head is slightly below hulk's shoulder.

Here's them in statue forum, with thor standing on a taller base, his head is just above hulk's shoulder. Scale looks dead on, since we know thor pf is 1/4, hulk is also 1/4.

:exactly:
When I bought Mystique Comiquette I never thought I'd sell but the fact that I could get a good chunk towards this made me.
Bought for £150, sold for £255.

thats exactly what i mean. when it comes down to it, there are only a select few who will never have to sell a statue. hell, even averone's had to sell some stuff for whatever reason. I think we can all agree that when you have to sell something, it's nice that if you can't buy it retail anymore, you can at least get your money back and most times, much more.

Everyone here has convinced me. If this is an open ES there is no way I am going to order. At 649.99 we deserve to know that this piece will keep it's resale value. This new policy of open editions is garbage. Hulk is ELITE and needs to have an ELITE number. If this has an open edition I just can not justiffy buyi.....................

Yeah right! I can't wait to order this mother!!! The only thing that will suck is when I have to wait a year after I PO this. I will Flex pay because I like knowing I am that much closer to actually owning it. When I have to wait to pay all at once I don't feel like I own it until it comes out. But with Flexpay as soon as I make that first payment I feel like it's mine!

I think one of the appeals is that these are collectible so regardless of whether you think you MIGHT sell it down the line, knowing there is a limited amount in the world is nice. Sure, ideally we all buy stuff with no intention of ever selling it but the truth is that people get bored of stuff, may need money, may need the space, and we sell stuff cuz we have to. when that time come(should it come), don't you want to sell it for more or at least what you bought it for? Open ES pretty much guarantees that you can't. Still, as long as PFs stay limited, I will continue to collect. I think if SSC decides to make everything open ES, my days of buying direct will end.

That isn't sideshow's problem

Yes it is, they lose sales because of that. I would have bought 2-3 each of Galactus and Wolf but I won't know, I am not the only one who does the same thing also. Why would people buy something from a limited collectible company when they are selling things that aren't limited? That makes no sense.

You will know it's yours as soon as that NRD is taken.

Worst case scenario its an open ES... It doesnt matter they will never make 5000 !!!! Sideshow is not a buizness like that.Same goes for the IM 1/2 that people were citing as exemple. Now, I agree it doesnt sell for much on the After market cause Sideshow is still producing some...But they will stop production eventually. But how many do you think they sold worldwide..???? Probably less than 1K. Now if you're in this hobby for the long run, you know even the open edition will dry and Sideshow will put an ES to them.Might take years but in the end, your collectible will gain value... Yes even a statue like the IM 1/2.Pseudo collectors today wants their statue to gain after market value immediately.unfortunately this isnt how it always work.
Hulk FTW.

This forum amounts to about 2% of sideshows sales.

Forget the thing about the value going up or down on an open edition item, it's the premise that a limited collectible company is slowing shifting into the sell-as-many-as-you-can business practice, that's the problem. If Sideshow was never founded on the limited business model none of us would care since the statues wouldn't look as good as they do today.

No way, Sideshow has advertised both this site and and statueforum pretty damn well, I guarantee you most of their customers stop by both sites as either a registered account or as a guest and look pretty closely into the whole hobby as a whole.

Sideshow was founded on unnumbered model kits and 12" Universal Monsters figures, so I dont know what you're talking about.
