I think he knows it may not but is strong in his beliefs, just like not eating shark's fin oneself since sharks are endangered may not stop the trade but it's an amiable first step. Just standing up for his beliefs man. Congrats on your order ; )

i see this from both sides here.. for one i am a collector.you want it to be worth alot down the road...on the other side it slows down recasters in a sense they can't just start making this knowing full well its not going to be or have production size..those dam recasters ruined it for everyone.lol

It's going to make recasting easier though, can't keep track of edition sizes so as long as the recasted pieces look great nobody can tell the difference.

I have to agree with Shai here. I collect other things other then Hulk and I was always in the "special" classes.

I am not preordering this piece, I merely find it amusing when some guy thinks his one little preorder is the fulcrum upon which all of Sideshow Collectibles swings. Um..... no.

Also amusing: the idea that the Avengers is a 'fad" which "will go away soon enough." This team, in varying incarnations has been around for DECADES. Not going anywheres; especially with new movies in the offing.

And lastly, not everyone buys to flip later. I sure don't. I have zero interest in enabling what flippers do, by insisting on edition sizes of ten or however many.

This hobby is not for investment purposes. Live it, learn it, and buy only what you love; because value is both fleeting and subjective.

How many people do you think had ever heard of the Avengers before the movie? You have the comic fans, but most people did not know who these characters were. Marvel did a good job with IM, CA, and Thor movies to the build up of the avengers. Over time these movies will fade away and the majority of people will forget them. It is the flavor of the month and they may very well make another two or three movies. Who is to say the next two or three movies are any good.

Have you ever sold a statue? If so you are a flipper. I keep laughing at all of you who say this will be a family heirloom. I remember people saying that about the Rogue before it was shipped as well. Unless your going to be buried with this thing it will be sold in the future.

The funny thing is it will probably only have a production run of a few thousand, but no one will ever know because of the open ES. Comparing this to the real Hulk PF is ridiculous. It is like comparing the movie Captain America to the real SS Captain America PF. No comparison. I will now check out of this thread never to return. Good luck to all and bring on the next real Hulk PF. Either the Planet Hulk or World War Hulk.

The Avengers fad will go away soon enough. I highly doubt SS is going to Open Edition Sizes for their real PF statues. This is a side experiment that Legacy comes out with every few years. This is not a hulk statue in my opinion. It is Mark Ruffalo in a hulk costume. The statue is not bad, but all of you ripping on people who did not order is hilarious. Keep justifying the $650 price tag to yourself when you have to sell it for $300 in a couple of years. If you love it congrats, but please don't act like you are getting a "grail" hulk.

After getting a measuring tape and using it to get an idea of the size of this thing...then look at the videos of it on youtube...the Hulk inside me pointed at the "Add to cart" and said:

"SMASH!"

I Pre-ordered it!

I just couldn't ignore this hulk for the past 24 hours of my life. I keep on staring and staring at the pictures at home, work, gym....just couldn't stop! Once I find myself doing this its over! I just LOVE this realism kind of statue! The texture and shading is incredible to me. The teeth on this hulk is just soooo amazing!

I was thinking about waiting for the 1:4 Hot toys version of hulk but was deeply disappointed with some of the reveal shots. Still looks too much of a toy instead of a serious collectable figure. This SS Hulk will be displayed with the 1:4 scale Hot Toy avengers in the future.(Hope the 1:4 scales of the others are good) Until then, I just got an email from SS saying my Maybang lighted 1:4 case will arrive in approximately in 13 days. I will enjoy that staring at nothing but the glow of the LEDs and waiting for some 1:4 figures and/or statues to place in it. HULK TOO BIG FOR IT =/
