Yup, people may eat healthy and wonder why they can't lose weight... the problem..what you drink and all the calories one consumes with said beverage.

I would never touch a soda pop again... gives me heart burn, oozy.. the toxins it puts in..the way it burns the tongues. It's so hard on your system, and like many people say, it's liquid fat. I don't know why people drink that stuff. It's not even that good tasting.

Did you ever have acid reflux when you drank soda? I know this stuff can really trigger that. Being overweight is known contributer as well.

Just curious. I only drink it every now and then but am pretty proud to be off the stuff. I also don't drink any juices really. Just water and the occasional Rum and coke.

I gave up soda in college and it's one of the best things I've ever done. I drink mainly water and tea. But I'll have a few beers on the weekends. I run and work out so those calories are needed :D

Very true, if you run or jog and you're burning off any calories you consume you're doing okay. We all need to indulge into the bad stuff every now and then to make things interesting. Heck, I'll admit to having a cheese cake, every 6-8 weeks.

Nope, never smoked a cigarette in my life. Never even took so much as a puff from one. I am a goodie tissues... *sigh* My own mother and father even got high.. so did my sister and brother. I am the only one who is clean.

No seriously though, I want to live freely and not always watch what I eat. I don't want to be a nazi about my diet but I do want to remain thin. Compromises will always have to be made. Just thinking out loud. :lol

I have been drinking Apple cider Vinegar everyday....man that stuff is so gross.

Well....you should try it at least once. I have only done it once as well but I liked it. I also learned in college that the only thing dangerous about marijuana is how you get the drug in your body- i.e. smoking. Your lungs take some abuse that's for sure. However, the medicinal properties intrigue me greatly.

Well, I do go out for pizza every now and then. But I do have a well balanced and healthy diet I like to stick to. I do treat myself. I mean, I don't want to eat rabbithttps://sideshowcollectors.com/forums/images/smilies/monk4.gif food 100 percent of my waking life. There is no fun in that. Well, I want to keep at a certain body weight and fat percentage. Whatever makes one happy I guess. It's not for everyone.

But it's like this... McDonalds or be lean and fit? I rather take being lean and fit than gorging on some McDick burgers. Doesn't a Big Mac have like 45 grams of fat, 30 of which is unsaturated/transfats? Not to mention like 1,000 mg of sodium. :monkey4

This is Arnold Schwarzenegger's diet when he was really into training...

Eat 5-6
smaller meals a day
Eat carbs half an hour after exercising
Rest at least 3 days a week
Sleep 8 or more hours a day
Eat 30 to 50 grams of protein with each meal every 3 hours
Not avoid unsaturated fats because they raise hormone levels
Eat between 60 and 100 grams of carbs per day
Eat no more than 3 eggs a day
Substitute beef and pork with chicken and fish
Avoid sugar -- it contains empty calories; eat fruits and vegetables for carbs instead
Use supplements and protein shakes to get the required daily amount of protein
