Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

I put in an order for 4 different blue paints that could work as a fix.

I'm not saying that one who pays $350 for a statue should fix it themselves, but the option is there. Also I'm still painting a LS IM bust to match the new color scheme so I gotta do it anyway.

As soon I get a paint match, I'll point people in the right direction.

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

Not mint, see my next post for the damage. I didn't even try the lights. He's already boxed back up, so can't take anymore pics with lights on. Plus very sunny in AZ now, would have to wait till night time. I'm going to be contacting SS on monday and see what my options are.

Yeah, foolish me didn't look up and see the detailed pictures of the damaged areas of your piece. Trust me this is an issue of packing.

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

I just received mine and it has the scuffs and scratches in the same spot as everyone else. Its ashame that this whole fiasco could have been avoided by simply wrapping him in the thicker styrofoam wrap.

I agree..those who have paint defects should expect more for 350...but if mine were scratched...I prolly would touch it up with paint than go the return route...*hassles*.

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

At first I thought it was a factory paint flaw but as more and more pics come in with damage in the same areas it sure makes me think it's a packing problem as well now.
That is unless the statues are handled by a machine during or shortly after the painting process that would cause the flaws to be in the same spot every time.

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

This reminds me of when MR had such a nightmare with all there helmets going to collectors all scuffed up and what not.....atleast MR did right my the collectors in the long run lets see what SS does.

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

eBay going rate is getting lower I believe because of these reports. They were selling around $600 but now I see a lot around $500...

Its probably gonna keep dropping in the short term.

Re: Stealth Iron Man Problems- Post the specific flaws you see on yours.

Man, I'm getting nervous seeing all the poll results and comments...Mines here in town but of course fed-ex doesn't deliver on saturdays and won't bring it 'til monday and won't let you go pick it up... :monkey2

Re: Stealth Iron Man Problems- Post the specific flaws you see on yours.

Has anyone gotten one 100% mint W/Pics? I doubt that one even exists.

Also, has SS gotten back to anyone with a FedEx return print out? I wonder how many problem e-mails Jacklyn has gotten?

Bannister:
if you check ebay, some sellers are now selling them "unopened".

Yeah, well the only collectibles I ever sell unopened are 12" figures and Gentle Giant busts. I would never sell someone one of these unopened, especially if I knew about the problems beforehand.

Re: STEALTH IRON MAN PICS

lol...its mint. and i'm sure due to the length of travel this package went thru...was the sole reason it didn't get the paint rubs.

Hundreds, maybe thousands of lost dollars and tons of unhappy customers due to improper packaging. That's just sad.:monkey2
