I had received my flawed SIM on Saturday, was planning on initiating a return/replacement. Just got off the phone with CS. I tried earlier this morning, but I think they are receivng more calls than typical. I asked how they were planning on handling the situation. The CS I spoke to early this morning said "Sideshow will make it right." Exact words.

I tried again just now and got through to the person handling my claim. She said she was setting up the replacement, but they need to work a few details first, and she would get back to me with further details. I'm assuming this is because they are looking at preventative measures, possibly better packaging, etc. but that's just speculation at this point.

Whats taking them so long, seriously. They should have already sent you and everyone else a pre-paid print out for a return. Why delay the inevitable?

I've sent my pics, and never got a reply back.

The person who bought mine requested me to just send it without opening it

He's paid for it so I'll do whatever he asks but I still thought it was a bit weird.

-Possibility-
All he has to do is pull a 180 and claim he recived the item defected, provide pics, Pp will refund him all his money and you lose out big time. Thats why you never send anything flawed...my guess.

I actually have both now and I guess the stealths Lights are pretty cool. If I get scared at night, Ill turn it on as a night light. As for paint, Doesnt compare to the red/gold. Stop trying to convince yourselves if you are. Not even a clos contest. So they are about the same if you have the original Red/gold. BUT if you have a RED/GOLD EX then IMO its way better. I love the alternate head which I display and would take that over lights.

Agreed, this is obviously not a few incidents. It sounds like they are now aware how big this is and plan on taking care of it.

Unfortunately, mine showed up flawed today as well...A couple of small scratches on left bicep, but the worst on mine is his left side and back, both legs, and some on his arms. Called CS and got a voicemail for the returns dept.. Hopefully they'll call back soon. I really hope they rap the replacements because mine definately looks like scratches from where the plastic was touching his body and rubbed...

I've never done this so I hope the return process doesn't take to long.

It normally takes about 2-3 days. But with so many of the same being replaced, who knows how long it may take.

On the plus side of this fiasco I am scheduled to get my defective Darkness Exclusive today. He originally looked like his crotch and shoulder was attacked by an angry beaver. Stealth Iron Man should be shipping anytime now! My fingers are officially crossed!

Anyone know how the return process works? Do they send a shipping label so we can send the other back, then send a replacement? Do I need to send them pics of the statue? Is it quicker to call or do it online (I had to leave a message for the returns dept. when I called).

Although it has its flaws, it is an amazing statue!!

I've done it through email...I sent pics, the send a RA# (write it on a piece of paper and stick it in the box) and a fedex label that you print out, then take it to fedex and ship it back. They receive it and sendout a replacement when they feel the time is right.

no problem as long as you send it with delivery confirmation and signature required of him. hard to argue that he didn't receive it.

I have to agree. If you're going by just statue alone removing the Iron Man fanboy from you (ie: the gold/red iconic status or the stealth IM wasn't that design, etc...) The Stealth easily trumps the standard and this is from a guy who wants a standard! The thing is with the EX something about having the alternate head with Stark's focused, determined look just takes this piece to another level. It is definitely THE definitive piece amongst the three....

just did the online return form (didn't see anywhere to attach pics) and i got an email saying that I would hear from them soon and that they are currently about 10 business days behind...

On returns, do they destroy the one I send and then send a replacement and give it the same edition number or will I wind up with a higher number now?

That's usually how it works. Many licensors are very precise on the numbers alotted once a company has issued them. LFL works this way where there can't be two number "6"s even if one is a replacement. You will most likely be issued a different number and the one you are given will be destroyed or repaired if possible and sent to fill another replacement....dependent on how SSC works their returns. They might just repair the one you send back and send it back...

I returned a PF Leia and a PF Negative Zone Spiderman and received the same edition number on both.

Well...this is one case where they'll need them ALL and then some.
