Seriously though, Why didn't they use the foam paper that is used all the time on PFs and other statues? I would think that would have protected it much better. Did they have a problem doing it that way before?

i have theorized that the statues were rushed. now maybe on purpose. the foam paper would have stuck to the paint where the plastic wouldn't. could the sweatshop be demanding more productivity or else?

well...just got #440 in the mail...and boy is it ****ed up...I have paint residue on that plastic they used to line the styrofoam....I got one really major rub on the leg and alot all over the piece..mine even has a dimple on his back....8 months waiting for this piece and they couldnt even use a piece of tissue over the statue....I hope for a replacement but if this packing issue is not addressed whats the point....will post pics later....this pisses me off....all due to ****ty packing....and whats up with this smelly oil all over it....it didnt do ****...never again will I buy a piece direct...SS pieces only from now on from secondary sources atleast untill they address the ****ey packing....mine even had a QC sticker,,,,I wonder if the person was blind when they gave it the ok...I can understand the rubs during shipment but the dimple....come on!

My freak brothers, i'm both saddened for you but happy as well because I just opened mine, #529 has just arrived... MINT!!!!!!

Not a scratch on him. I think this is the most relief i've felt in a loooong time.

damn it looks so SWEET when it's lit up though! waaaay brighter than i expected. anyone gonna have it painted red/gold? how much would a pro cost to do that? maybe SS will come out w/ a red/gold light up after the movie comes out. i know they did 1 for Downey and 1 to auction.

w/ all these returns i bet some will be "liberated" from the destroying process and we'll eventually see some repainted ones on eBay, either blue or red gold.

There were supposed to be so many people saying they were going to repaint theirs but nothing has materialized even over at StatueForum where they repaint everything!

The lights are great on it but would be a pain to swap so I'm wondering if we'll see any that are simply repainted even with the inaccurate lights...

I dread to think how much it would be to send mine back to the States if it becomes one of the many damaged ones....unless I could send it back to the EU warehouse.

Even at that I'm guessing many earth pounds.

For those of us who haven't received a shipping email yet does this mean we maybe lucky? That SideShow has put a hault on sending more SIMs out as they want to make certain that the existing SIMs at their warehouse are having the packaging changed/improved before coming to us?
