I think Predator 2 has more interesting characters. Perhaps not as well-acted in some cases, but certainly more interesting. Then again, P1 isn't as focused on human conflicts and personal vendettas as P2.

P1 was different because you had a team and the banter associated with members working closely in dangerous situations. The main conflict is between Dillon and the team, he's essentially the villain until the Predator finally makes himself fully known to the team. Harrigan's team may be are as tight as Dutch's, but there's an ongoing conflict with their superiors, Keye's mob and even the annoying tv reporter.

Because Legacy Effects are waaay too expensive.
They mostly work on huge blockbuster films.

ADI have the same kind of history via Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff.

None ever worked on classic Predator films.

Yep - it's an interesting choice. Makes me intrigued to find out the story.

The movie was due to film late this year but it looks production has been pushed back to February next year to suit BDT's schedule.

He was brilliant in SICARIO and if the character he plays in this movie is anything like Alejandro, we're in really good shape.

Still hoping Arnold will be brought back, even if to share the movie with BDT.

I hope not. I want the story to be something completely now and unique with the Predator as something that evolves into the story. Non of this homeworld, Pred wars, super Pred crap.
