This thread is hilarious :lol. Predator was so over-the-top and filled with roids, right from the Dillon and Dutch hand-shake scene. Sorry to say, but it set a precedent for how the heroes in the films should be depicted. That said, Adrien Brody just didn't look the part. I'm not going to argue whether his build is or isn't appropriate for an actual Spec Ops soldier, because we're not dealing with real life here. However, he was pretty scrawny compared to Dutch, Dillon, Billy, heck, even Mac, and that's not good.

Give me Dwayne Johonson, Terry Crews, hell... Thor Björnsson - he'd actually be bigger than the Pred :lecture.

Great post.

The concept art descriptions hint towards this movie being set in the city with a team of guys after the Predator. If that's the case then having a group of half naked guys tanked up on steroids will look very out of place.

Be it different cicrumstances but still don't forget that Harrigan and Royce are the only guys to kill a Predator - a job Dutch never finished.

Predator can live then, just give me roided dudes with guns and big knives. Oh and one of them big dudes better be a native american. They can throw in a normal sized guy for laugh material. Oh and bring back the spanish chick.

2024 and Dodge is still making the same Challenger?

lol

Is that a charger or challenger, can't tell.

I want Blades car (68 Charger) which is the same car being used for TV Ghost Rider (69 Charger).

I'm so glad it wasn't Terry Crews, the dude is a non-entity, plus he has terrible genetics so that beats the purpose of ogling an oiled-up protein fart dude. And Dwayne Johnson is a big Teddy bear. And Bjornosson isn't an actor.

Since there aren't any decent action stars anymore, I'm ok with having a dude who can (supposedly) act instead.

What's wrong with Terry Crews? Not that I would want to see him in this but to me, he was the best part of the second Expendables film, he's a pretty big guy, and his charisma makes up for his acting abilities which already isn't that bad when compared to other non actors out there.

I've noticed in the pass week that people would be okay with Mel Gibson casted in every movie ever from here on out :lol

As much as I like Arnold, he was never really a good actor. But, what he did have, was a tremendous build, quippy one-liners, and a hilarious voice for the delivery. That's about it, but it's also what made him legendary in cinema, and it's what made him perfect in Predator :lol.

I think we do have "muscle" choices to choose from. The problem is, one man's choice, is another man's nerd rage. I happen to like The Rock, Terry Crews, etc. Most people probably don't.

raw

Fine then just give me a bunch of bearded eye glasses wearing tight jean millennials to fight the Predator.

They also need man buns :lecture.

what about Drax the destroyer?
That's less bad, but still as a support character.

Don't get me wrong if you want those dudes as trophy material, then great.

I was thinking for a protagonist,

Nothing wrong with him, just like you say, I don't want him in this. What a weird choice is all.

Mel Gibson is it, I'm surprised he hadn't been mentioned here, maybe because he's old.

If that's the standard, then not even The Rock can match that, even if he's a better actor.
That's my point, give it a rest people, I don't think the Rock has charisma, he's just nice and smiles a lot, Arnold was charismatic and was a very good conversationalist.

Mel's a superb actor. It'd be a dream to have him battle a Yautja.

Mel had to be mentioned already. So far in the past week, I've seen people say Mel should be Wolverine, Punisher, Cable, new Predator lead, Nick Fury and Mad Max again. Old Man Wolverine would be the best pick out of those choices in my opinion.

Crews would be great for a predator movie, just not as the lead. I like the Rock as a person, but if he's not doing a straight up comedy I never enjoy him movies. I can't think of a solid action film he's made yet, and he's been in plenty, yet not one iconic character he's made his own yet.

Personally this Boyd guy seems fine so far, and I don't need to see roided out men killing Predators, this is a franchise that shouldn't stick to the same formula. It worked for the first movie, personally I enjoyed the second movie quite a bit, and I even enjoyed predators.

I'd actually love to see an old man Bruce Willis (not phoning it in) take on some predators while cursing them out John Mcclane style :lol
