I wasn't always a train, everyone starts somewhere. I played point guard in high school and in college, shortstop as well.

Anytime sports is the conversation with people I meet, Football is the first assumption. :lol

I played basketball and golf in high school...hence the Smart car.

Like I've said, I have a swimmers body; long and lean. Just shedding the last of this fat is what I need to focus on.

My cousin sent me some pics of us from 2009/10 in an email titled "Who's this fatass?" i still can't believe how big I was. I'm proud of how far I've come and i'm proud of the fact I'm dedicated to living a better lifestyle. Bodybuilding is an addiction and one I don't want to quit!

I owe a lot of it to my cousin. He not only got me in to the gym, but taught me most of what I know today. He looked at me in 2009 and said, "Dude, you look like ____. We need to get your ass in the gym."

Perhaps one day I'll post some photos of my progression.

Guess what, it does not matter if you eat 6 meals,3 meals, intermittent fast, only carbs in the am, carbs in the pm. If you put in the time in the gym and get your macro's in you will see change.

Now one person might have better results with 6 meals(only because it keeps you from cheating), or doing Keto, IIFYM(if it fits your macros) or whatever. Our bodies don't have some magic clock where it turns carbs into fat at 7pm. I have been doing a modified IF(intermittent fast) and I have been eating the alot of carbs at night, going to bed full and still have lost 32+lbs. Last year I did Keto @ 5-6 meals a day and lost fat @ about the same rate.

Study up on Alan Aragon-so much common sense without the Bro science. One of his quotes that I found so freeing was in regards to macros. It was along the lines of: get 80-90% of your marcros from whole/minimally processed foods. I found that I still lose fat and I eat peanut butter almost every night.

Here's an example of broscience:
Take 5 guys that look like Ski. You find out they all have one 8 oz glass of milk 1/2hr before thay work out, therefore drinking 8oz of milk 1/2 hr before your w/o will get you to look like them. Very simple example but it gets the point across.

In the end use common sense.

EDIT:
Here's a great read with Alan Aragon.

So I had my appendix removed yesterday. 3 days before that I was in pain and couldn't eat or very little. Now it's 2-3 weeks of doing nothing and trying to eat normal. Guess it's time to really get my proteines up to maintain what is left after the 4 days of mealless horror

Do you think their advice is sound ?

They are annoying with all the cursing and crap. I think less of that would make them easier to deal with.

sYea it's more or less to start some discussion.

Deal is the most important thing is two things, macros and calorie decifit. That's pretty much it, period. If those are in check you are going to lose weight and retain muscle.

They also don't configure into the equation which I think a lot of people miss is AGE!!!!

If you are freaking 14-26 years (this age group is prime for putting on muscle and growing rapidly), I don't even want to hear about metabolism, because IMO I think you can get away with junk food and be a calorie deciifit and still cut as long as you below your calories. :lol

Once everyone gets older they'll know what I'm taking about whenever it comes down to cutting, you have to watch that much closer because metabolic rate is not the same. Not one persons metabolic rate is the same, especially those which are muscle bound. I'm would shed many more pounds than another guy which is the same age as I but is only like 50% muscle. Our genetic makeups are different, our body compositions are different. I'm a freight train and he's school bus.

IMO, the bottom line is calorie decifit and macros, I think the twins eat 1-6 meals, snacks or whatever BUT... they are below their calorie decifit in order to lose and keep up the high protein in order to maintain.

If anything eating the 6 meals a day keeps your blood sugar steady, no inlusin spikes, cravings down, cravings for junk food down if you are eating healthy etc... With a decent exercise regime and limited calories in the end there's no way you won't lose weight and if you don't something is WRONG health wise (thyroid, hormones, immune system, etc...)

Macros ? :dunno
