Been a weird week for me at the gym.

On Saturday, I was complimented on my training and asked to join an advanced class on Saturdays. Consists of speed and power drills. That got me excited as hell and it doesn't cost me any more $.

Was thrown a curve ball in my training this past Sunday. Got to the gym to find out that my trainer was suspended for moonlighting and possibly taking clients with him (not confirmed though).

I was pissed and frustrated as he is a hell of a trainer. So I used that energy and had a ball busting arm and shoulder workout.

Yesterday before DUT (Daily Ultimate Training) I talked to the gym manager, and he is letting me try out a few trainers to see which one is a match for me. He had already selected a couple that might work. One of them is the trainer that I do DUT with as well as the advanced class now. The other is the head of the trainers is who former Army Spec Ops who completed a couple tours in Afghanistan. Needless to say, right after my talk with the manager, the head trainer sought me out asking if I am interested in having him as a trainer. It seems he has wanted me to be his client for a while now since I have a reputation in the gym to go all out and always try to do more than expect in my personal training sessions.

So this Thursday, I will see how things go. This change could be real good for me as I flet like I was about to hit a plateau in my progress.

Maybe it's time to ween yourself off the trainer? I'm sure you know what to do in order to train your body right? You've gone and worked out without a trainer now so you don't need someone to motivate you now.

Save the money and train yourself. That's my 2¢; take it for what it's worth.

Had to share this....

This guy is at my gym every Saturday. Takes 30 minutes to setup, makes sure his chalk bucket is good and ready, makes a lot of noise to get pumped and then.....

[ame]https://youtu.be/sSDVvol4mb0[/ame]

...for a total of 10 sets.

He is lifting with his back, he walks around like he owns the place, puts on this huge show, for what?

I made it because guys like him annoy me and wanted to share my pain. Go on YouTube and there thousands of videos like this.

Yeah I understand, I can lift 220lb free weight chest and some nights I've got to wait for 1/2hr while 5 guys who can barely lift the bar do their sets, It's annoying, I don't get the grunters either?

There are guys who grunt a little while straining and then there are the guys who yell as is if to say "look at me!".

There is another guy who likes to drop the weights even on the cable machines after every set. He is a screamer at the gym and flexes in the mirror after every set.

It's almost like they need to teach gym etiquette when you sign up.

One thing I can say is that the dude in the video I posted at least cleans up after he's done. Too many guys load up tons of weight and never re-rack when they are done. This alone drives me insane!

Had the day off, so I basically spent all afternoon there, loved it!!!

I wish I could make enough $$$ to do this and support my family and everything! :rock I would be the happiest man on earth!

Legs, Calves, Hamstring, Chest, Biceps and Tri's today! :rock

Ski - are you a primarily 99% lean ground turkey consumer for protein or do you mix in the chicken? Also you never really weighed in on the intermittent fasting / eating every 2-hours discussion. WDSD (what does ski do)?

Hey Jimmie,

I've OD'd on chicken(2005) and fish(2007), so my main sources are ground turkey, shrimp, egg whites (LOTS).

On the IF, I did state it's more about calories than the IF, as long as there's a decifit and your burning more than what is coming in, there's no guessing game. I hope that helps a little.

If you liked to know my opinion on it, I don't believe IF has been around long enough to make definitely science. IMO, I believe what you are feeling/seeing as getting more cut over a 18hr+ fast like the twins are doing is low amounts of sodium storage, glycogen is depleted until a stimulate is adding, water retention is flushed, etc...

There is one good thing about IF though is that it does get rid of toxins. Supposedly the new fad for IF is that it gives your body more time to burn the fat, hence the cutting up etc... but I think there's more than just that as I stated up above with minimal storage because of the body using what it had all ready than food that is being intaken.
