Carol is really going through some serious issues. She leaves a note saying how much she loves everyone in Alexandria and because of that she knows she would have to kill to protect them. That's why she leaves. Yet, by leaving and going on the road in this world, she thinks she won't have to kill to survive? IMO, she'll end up having to kill more. Any encounter with the living or the dead outside the gates of Alexandria will cause Carol to revert back to killing to survive. While on the road, she'll probably have to kill on a more frequent basis. Just look at what happened in this episode and how many lives she took. I hope she makes it past her personal crisis alive and we get back the Carol we know and love..."the force of nature" as Rick so perfectly described her to Morgan.

how long has it been since the wolves? Just curious because she had no issue killing then.

It was her confrontation with Morgan over the Wolf he saved that set her on this path. His whole "every life matter" speech finally got to someone. I never thought it would have been Carol. She of all people knows that killing is the only way to survive in this world. It took her a long time and she had to go through a whole lot to grow into the incredibly strong character she has become. I never thought Morgan could get to her much less set her down her current path.

Daryl is ok... shot in the shoulder is what I guess

Yeah, that's the most obvious take. I don't see why they would waste a bullet on him at close range like that when they absolutely had him with no way out. Dwight could have smacked him left and right all day and Daryl couldn't have done a thing about it without jeopardizing Glenn, Rosita, and Michonne.

Good episode. That's definitely a worrying situation at the end. The group have been kicking the Saviours' @$$ so far, it was bound to start balancing out and I think this is a turning point....

Must not read spoilers. Must not read spoilers. Must not read spoilers.

Let's hope this doesn't become the norm with "oh no so and so is dead" only to be perfectly fine the next week. It worked once, but this pattern can get real old fast. Daryl isn't going out like that. Probably got shot in the shoulder.

Either way, good episode that sets up Negan :yess:

"Hi. I'm Negan."

It would be more educational for Morgan to see a precious life being taken. He said the Wolf he tried to change saved Denise so she could be there to save Carl. It's nonsense. She wouldn't have been at risk if it hadn't been for the Wolf. Not all life is precious. Carol will learn too. The only reason she's having a hard time is because she does value life. She needs to make the connection between killing murderers and saving innocents.

I really have no clue who will die next week. It feels like it could be anyone but Rick or Jesus at this point. I feel its going to be Morgan if I had to guess just because of that speech he gave Rick in this episode. Carol will prolly witness it and snap back to her old self.

Sure would have liked it more if Dwight didn't say anything after shooting Daryl

He could have easily been talking to Rosita, not Daryl. After Daryl getting shot, its reasonable to think she'd be freaking out a little. But I'd be very impressed if they did kill Daryl off like that. If he dies, it will likely be by Negan's hands.

Negan needs to T-off on Morgan to show how wrong he is.

I have a feeling Morgan will die, but it will be from saving Carol from the savior, or perhaps vise versa. Carol may sacrifice herself saving Morgan. Either way, I don't expect them both to return to Alexandria.

So we should get at least the Carol/Morgan group death and the Negan death, if not more beyond those two. But I'll be surprised if we just get the Negan kill. I feel we're in for a bloodbath.
