Carol's potential death is awesome viewer bait, but killing her off would be the lamest thing they could do. Getting over what she's going through right now would be epic. The alternative would be a complete waste of the heroine she's become. It would be spitting in her face.

On the same note, killing Daryl wouldn't be much different.

Carol or Morgan.

One from the captured group, Glenn/Michonne/Daryl or Rosita.

Or it might just be one main character and another second tier character.

I think they'll wait for the Carol/Morgan bit and drag that out a bit, but with a 90min episode it all could go down in the first 3/4 of the show then the last 1/4 is Maggie crying!

It would be more educational for Morgan to see a precious life being taken. He said the Wolf he tried to change saved Denise so she could be there to save Carl. It's nonsense. She wouldn't have been at risk if it hadn't been for the Wolf. Not all life is precious. Carol will learn too. The only reason she's having a hard time is because she does value life. She needs to make the connection between killing murderers and saving innocents.

I think it was a missed opportunity when Carol gets shot at by the Saviors, and she says, “Please don’t kill me” or something like that. The guy in the truck says, “Now why do people always assume the worst?” I think she should have said, “Well, you did just shoot up my car…”

I’m wondering if they are setting up Morgan and Carol to be the cavalry and save the group from the Saviors, just like she saved them at Terminus. Morgan will catch up to Carol, they will find out the group was captured/taken over, and they will set up a raid.

I was also rolling my eyes the whole time group after group kept leaving Alexandria. At least Rick made it back.

I do think the show has gotten a little formulaic ever since the Governor. It’s just been Rick’s group fighting one evil group after the other. I like that they have found a couple of “nice” groups along the way. But I don’t know what else they could do to break the formula. However, I would like to see an evil group against another evil group. It would be great to have seen how the Governor would have fought off the Saviors, or how the Wolves would have tried to take over Terminus. And maybe Rick’s group could just get caught in the middle of it all!

I agree with that. I'm sure this Negan fella will be delt with like all the others, so they can move on to the next community to battle it out with.

Morgan was also wrong in his other example of Carol coming back to save the group. He conveniently leaves out how Carol actually saved the group, not through talking and convincing the Terminus cannibals of a more "enlightened" path but through guile and fire power!
Morgan has a belief system that is workable in a more civilized society but not in a post apocalyptic zombie plagued world. His beliefs are putting others at risk needlessly.
Which makes me wonder if Scott Gimple isn't just a crappy writer.
Rick looked liked he was silenced by Morgan's "thoughtful" insights but a better writer should've shut Morgan down and pointed out his errors.
Also, Ricks group continues to act stupidly and have monologues in the outdoors allowing the bad guys to get the drop on them.

I hope Gimple doesn't undo the "Force of nature" that is Carol.

Can't stand Carol's crisis, feels very forced. I know this is unpopular, but her acting is very unconvincing and hammy. I just don't buy a scared, trembling Carol.

They've been doing the blood on the screen bit for quite a while.

Yea I find that a group like Rick's who survived so long and are so experienced can get ambushed so easily. The writing is really getting worse just to have a plot and kill off people. Carol's arc makes no sense just like Daryl getting ambushed. And I think Morgan is slowly turning back to his killer side where he realises he has to kill again to protect his friends just as Carol goes the opposite way. Here's hoping the writing improves for season 7. I doubt Daryl will die if Glenn is the one dying. And I always find it boring when you show a major character (Glenn) surviving a near death experience just to die again so soon. Its so cliched. And Rick is the only untouchable one no matter what the writers say. They do not have any other character that can carry the show like he can. Once he goes, so does the show. Daryl dying will be a major loss but one that is recoverable. Not Rick's.

Sorry for the rant. Just disappointed how the show is going in season 6.
