The decision making of en-laws.
So my sister in-law, who we took in their delinquent 17 year old daughter, whined about me not assisting her with her pos van last night. I generally sleep from 1pm till whenever, usually about 8 something. Anyway wife texts me how long a car needs to be jumped. I said it depends on the other cars battery. A few to about 15 mins, they were 25 into and no go. They sent me pics of the jumper connections, its all good. I told the cars battery must be completely dead and will not charge. Her sis wanted me to get up and try. Of course, I said no, battery is dead, you need a new one. She has no money for new one and was expecting me to buy one and install it. I've been paying for her kid that is staying, food, clothes, **** to furnish her room with no assistance from her mother. She owes us enough money. I ain't paying for a battery. Told my woman to not pay for a battery. I said have Dre get it. Dre is her new 'man' that lives with her, no job, has a car with no tag or insurance, has no money and kids with 2 other chicks. She was all mad bro. My woman said she'll tell her dad and see if he helps her. He prolly won't want to either.....

She sounds like an outstanding citizen of society who really knows how to be resourceful.... sorry to hear, man. My dads side of family always trying to get money from me or him. Bunch a moochers.
You know sometimes it feels a little isolating when the only real person I deal with in my home life is my wife... and then I read this and feel that much more grateful. I just have a pain in the ass mother in law, who I hope checks out in the near future but that's it.

The daughter hasn't been good, has done what we've told her to do and such.
But this dre guy. I've never met him. He was a oil field person who is waiting on the oil gigs to get back going. I've said he is just mooching for now, as soon as he gets some type of gig he will be gone. For sure.
As for the battery, her pops is getting a new one today. So good for her.

Evil, were the jumper cables higher gauge? If they were using low gauge jumper cables designed for compact cars, the cables aren't carrying enough juice.

I'm starting to wonder if I'm gonna have to do that aswell for something I bought on the 8th. Payment should have cleared by now. I'll give it the rest of the working week though.
I've never had to do it with a China seller before, they usually stick it in the mail almost immediately. If it's not in the mail in three business days, something is up.
I had threatened to just cancel it, and that got their ass in gear. Over a week is ridiculous, not to mention the transit time is already going to be long.
My thoughts aswell. My fellow lefties are becoming intolerable if I'm honest. Trump getting in has intensified their aggression. They vilify anyone who wasn't rigorously opposed to Trump. I don't see how it will help anything.

I don't think that is true. I think people are getting fed up with the BS. Both sides are experienced purveyors of that.
All they're doing is building the foundation for Trump's 2020 run. Although, Trump has to come through too on his end, but they're making it easier for him.

True. Back in the early 2000s I was sick of the right. I'm honestly sick of the two party system. Not enough people taking the middle ground.

What's funny is how the left keeps talking about how things have changed so much for the better since Obama became president. Democrats have lost over a thousand seats since Obama took office. That is the people talking. Not movie stars, not athletes, not singers. My brother and his whole family are very liberal. They talk about how great it is that the U.S is becoming so progressive. I wonder if they are ignoring what is happening or if they can't see it. Many are sick of BLM, men in womens restrooms, illegal immigration. And yet the left keeps pushing the same agenda.
