"...your ilk" simply means anyone who doesn't subscribe to Streep's sentiments, it wasn't a barb. Hollywood players, by and large, tend to be liberal/progressive in their socio-political leanings. They also enjoy a very public platform, which some exploit to speak to things that matter to them. So what? You're presuming that they have "no room to complain" when they simply have different concerns about the way they're governed than others might. I take your point about privilege - admittedly, when you're worried about your job and feeding your family it's difficult to care too much about gender-friendly restrooms. But I spent four years living in a dictatorship - my take on Streep et al - or Eastwood for that matter - is that the ability for citizens to speak freely about politics is far more important than agreeing with whatever it is they have to say.
