I thought it was very solid and enjoyable. Again Portman felt like the weak link to me, Hemsworth did a perfect Thor. Loki was awesome. Plot line was a little too "coincidental" for my tastes but understandable to make it imperative for Thor to get personal.

As long as no one goes into a comic book movie, taking it too seriously (Like that could ever happen) I think most people will be entertained. My 11 yr old daughter and her best friend loved it.

This movie has better Star Wars than the PT!

This movie had a better Orc than the Hobbit!

I loved that one of the best hero moments came from a human.

This movie was actually bat **** crazy!

Loved almost every second of it!

:goodpost::exactly:

I loved the **** out of this movie. Looking forward to seeing it again with my Wife as well!!!

All the Mjolnir stuff was handled really well I thought (especially loved the final battle stuff...)

Hated it. Worst Marvel movie I've seen.

0/10

Still buying both versions of Thor though.

1. The Wolverine
2. Man of Steel
3. Thor The Dark World
4. Kick *** 2
5. Iron Man 3

I guess i'm alone on this but the movie really didn't work for me.

The humor was too silly. Certain moments were genuinely funny, but others made most of the jokes made me roll my eyes. Every moment where Kat Dennings was on screen made me cringe. I don't get why she had to have a punch line every time she made an appearance. Maybe it's just not my style of humor, but I really just couldn't go with it.

The villain was sort of a let down. Standard motives, no real character, boring character.

Didn't care too much for the designs either. Malekith could have been a little more interesting looking, but came off as sort of bland. The secondary villain that turns into a monster looked weird too. Him, as well as the I guess minion elves gave off a Power Rangers vibe to me.

I did like certain parts of it though. Chris Hemsworth and Loki are still great as Thor and Loki of course. I like the development of Thor's character a lot as well.

Overall it was just way too campy for me and felt too conventional. Not bad, but nothing worth watching in my opinion.

Agreed. Not bad, just okay.

:slap
Didn't you watch IM3… and IM2 for that matter… and even Captain America? :lol

Elektra?... Spider-Man 3? :dunno

One of those box office sites. They list Marvel movies as being from all studios making movies based on marvel comics

So did you see Thor 2 or was your rating just a little bit o trolling? :lol

Just returned from 2nd viewing with wife and a friend.

Stay to the end, there are indeed 2 after credits scenes, 2nd one was good until they cut to the
running loose ice beast
that was not needed.

Ok, so....wife hated it with a passion.

She feels Thor 1 is much better.

She said the Elf story made no sense whatsoever, very boring plot that didn't need to be made.

Our mutual friend also hated it, he said if he wanted to see Elves he would watch LOTR. (I warned him about the fantasy elements).

Oh well, I still enjoyed it. :rotfl

Wife and I returned from watching the film. I found it on par with the first film being Thor, Loki and Odin interactions making the film. The battle scenes were solid but again (just like Frost Giants) I found the villain(s) uninteresting. The humor was cute but I think Kat and co. Can go away in the next film.

Overall an entertaining film (7/10) on a lack luster comic book year.

Wolverine
Thor 2
iM 3
MoS

The Captain America 2 piece prior to the film solidified it being the most anticipated comic movie of 2014. Pure bad assery :yess:

Just seen it, and its OK. The humor makes it OK. The action, storyline alone just not enough and would be boring without the funny. This movie somehow seem a little short.

I think all Marvel fans should be worried for phase 2. Iron Man 3 was terrible, and this movie at best was okay. Marvel really needs to cut out the terrible dialogue and humor in these films. I don’t know what separates these films from the Transformer films. Iron Man 1 and Thor 1 made me believe the studio was going to put out quality superhero films, but now they are just making uninspired blockbusters.
