Marc Silvestri wolverine is really cool, dig him.
If Sideshow was doing 1/6 Marvel like their upcoming DC 1/6 line,Nobody would even care about these or give them a look
I dunno man.. a lot of people are unhappy with the way SS is handling the DC line.. Superman looks like he's been hitting the bar and the late nights that come with them.. Batman has a Klingon forehead.. LOTS of hate for one of the two Joker head sculpts..
Personally.. I think they're all very cool looking.. but the point is.. people are always looking for something "else".
I'm excited to see what 3A/Wood make of the license... On one hand I think Ash knows how important these characters are to people and while his interpretation will no doubt be his own.. it won't be a crazy departure from what we know and love.. On the other hand.. Ash is never been known to play it "safe". If he's got the reigns.. and it fancies him to make Dr Doom a long legged half naked cyborg ninja chic.. then by golly.. he's gonna do that..
Either way, no sense in judging it now.. They can do spot on accuracy.. they can do stylized IP.. but can they find that sexy balance? I'm sure we'll see something soon.
Not sure where the hate is on the DC line(it hasn't even really started)...The Joker looks great to me,so does Bats and Supes
don't get me wrong...I am interested to see what they come up with in Captain America,Thor, and Dr Doom (my 3 favs)...but if it strays too far from the source, these will be easy pass

The point may be moot - they've had the 2000AD license for 4 years and released one figure.

That's for 3A figures that aren't licensed.
Once you add the license cost, the price will go up.
Just look at the price of their Halo figure it's $220. Which I might add, isn't a stylized reinterpretation from 3A, so they can work outside of their typical style.
$220 huh.......

I don't like alot of 3A stuff, but their Halo stuff as well as the prototype Star Wars 6" stuff they did looked great. Really hoping they pull something out with this line that I like.
But there'll be no comic variations at all
