They'll show Venom in the next trailer, which will be the final shot of the movie.

I mean it seems like that reddit post a few pages back is spot on to the film. Venom may not show up much which is why we didn’t get so much as a glimpse of him in the last trailer. Not ever a sinister laugh.

Idk probably due to the fact that this might be in the mcu and that they pretty much aren’t confirming it’s rated r anymore. Doesn’t matter what the director says. This is Sony they like to muddle in with film

It's not in the MCU. Neither is Silver and Black or Morbius.

Nobody wants to see kid Spider-Man fight ADULT characters like Venom or Carnage.

SONY would be smart to pull outta the deal with Disney & take Spider-Man back where he can be a Spider-MAN again.

Spider-Man is the most Spider-maney he has ever been on the big screen.

Sony pulling out of the deal with Disney would be one of stupidest things they could possibly do, which is really saying something because it's Sony.

Why not? The Vulture wasn't a spring chicken.

I don't think anyone can say with a straight face that they'd prefer Iron Bit**/Kid Spidey in favor of a seasoned, adult Spider-Man.

Spider-Kid: Homecoming was terrifically unimpressive.

Spider-Man 1, Peter fought an adult villain, he was in high school.

Spider-Man 2, Pete was just barely in college, he fought an adult villain.

I love how you just generalize, make **** up, and present it as fact like you're right all the time because you feel right. :lol

You would think you'd learn from TLJ, but NOOOOOO.

Part of Spidey's success and origin was his youth though.

That guy can't be a Sony executive because at least he came up with a plan and looks like he knows what he's doing.

Exactly. They'll probably release this around the same time as the long gestating Aunt May as a spy movie that we've all been clamoring for.

I'm really confused here.

Have you even read Venom comics? In the very first Venom arc in (WOSM 18, ASM 298-300) Parker is 30-years-old and living with Mary Jane.

Silver & Black has been put on hold by Sony... That was an even worse idea than Venom movie without Spider-Man. Hopefully it disappears forever. No explanation why. Maybe Sony realized how dumb this was after the backlash from the Venom trailer and are waiting for this to release 1st.

Sony..... :slap They make the DCEU look good.

The fact that you say “”NOBODY WANTS KID SPIDEY...”. Wth do you mean nobody. Its exactly what we got from the last movie and most loved it. He’s been a kid for YEARS fighting matured villains. Instead of acknowledging that you bring up a venom series of comics where he is 30 years old. Ok then

It is true that Parker was an adult, both when he got the symbiote suit and when he first encountered Venom. But I thought everyone loved young Spidey. Those were, by far, the most iconic comics he was involved in, and when about 90% of his noteworthy villains first showed up (Green Goblin, Venom, Kraven, Mysterio, Vulture, Doc Ock, Chameleon, Lizard, Scorpion, etc.). I guess I can see Snikt's logic about him thinking that he fought Venom as an adult in the comic, so he should fight him as an adult in the movies (though it's pretty obvious Eddie Brock will be a good guy here, so any fight would last about half a movie at best until they started teaming up). But I can't agree with the broader argument.

Kara, you’re right. SNIKT just doesn’t know much about spidey, but loves to act like he does.

it’s kinda his thing, well, with everything. :lol

I'm not saying he doesn't know about Spidey, but I do think he misunderstands the fan-base if he thinks they won't, generally speaking, like to see kid Spidey fighting anyone. Be it Carnage, Venom, Demogoblin, Doppleganger, etc. . .actually, I don't know that any fans want to see Demogoblin, so I retract that one.
