I'm picking GSP. I'm honestly not impressed with Shields. Never have been. Especially his last fight vs. Kampmann (though the excuse for that performance was Shields cutting weight).

The ironic part to me is how some people have said they want GSP to lose because they think he's boring (because of recent decision wins). Um.. half of Shields wins are by decision. And you want that guy to be champ instead!?

:lol:lol:lol

Im cheering for Jake just because Im tired of Gsp winning, lol regardless of decisions or whatever. I mean his jabbing to a win
of koscheck was impressive to me. I agree I do think shields biggest downfall will be his striking because its pretty much zero...
I think ive mentioned, I want Jake to win just to keep the streak going over at the scrap pack. If George pulls out the win it wont surprise me, the dudes good you cant take that away from him. I just want to see someone new at the top.

Shields is definitely more boring than GSP. I just want a shakedown of the WW division so new star matchups can be made. and hopefully that will FORCE GSP to move up a division and fight new opponents.

Did anyone else see MSN Sports report that Couture is retiring after the Machida fight??

I read this same thing. I'll believe it when I see it.

These are my exact thoughts as well. Im cheering for Jake, but not really a fan of his, but just really want to see some different match ups in the WW. I think the same can be said for the middles. I love Anderson, but just move up in weight already and lets see different figths.

I think Couture wants to retire healthy as opposed to waiting until he gets seriously/permanently injured and then being forced to retire.

“One of the things I’ve struggled with is that my body was not a factor [in my decision to retire]. I’m as healthy as ever. I feel great, and I can compete at this level,” said Couture, who rides a three-fight winning streak heading into his showdown with Machida.

“But I just feel like I've stretched it and pushed it, and I don't want to wait until I have those [physical] issues to think about and weigh into training camps or a fight. That's part of going out on my terms. I don't want to wait until I have that [hypothetical] injury and doctors tell me that I can't fight anymore. I like to do a lot of other things [that aren't fighting]. I’m healthy, and I can enjoy the rest of my life right now. So I don't want to wait too long.”

This is a bad fight for Randy IMO, if he can't close the gap and stay inside he's gonna get KTFO. That and Machida has a underrated ground game spells bad things for Randy.

Has Randy ever been KTFO? I know he's been beaten by TKO's and whatnot but has he ever been seriously KO'd?

Yeah the third fight vs. Liddell he was KTFO cold. He talked about it on one of the UFC specials. He said it was an "interesting" experience. :lol

Yup. I feel bad for Brock. Totally agreed with what Dana had to say

I didn't. Dana left out the biggest reason why Brock is doing the show and that's because it potentially gives Brock a shot at the title. Really the driving force behind why a private guy like Brock is doing something like this. I :lol'd when Dana left that out.
