Especially when you are the guinea pig! Seriously, WTX? So what if mine did come damaged? They just gonna produce rest of the maquette in that pathetically thin casting?

It's funny that now they tell us, "oh, it's just a test shipment.

"Buff up the packaging is NOT the solution! It's all about the maquette that's inside!

Btw, which part of the maquette is made in fiberglass? My 2nd replacement is coming soon. I'd love to know. Than you.

I feel your pain...that's insane!

just fn cancel for gods sake. why make SSC waste more money shipping what you believe to be an inferior product?

I say let them waste money shipping them out. Thier fault if they wanted to cut costs. I think all of us should order and then claim a refund. Even if we lose money on shipping costs or taxes it means a big loss for those greedy gits.

which means every future product ends up being more expensive because they have to recoup all the lost shipping costs...nice thinking.

Doesn't bother me. If people had principles they would stop giving thier hard earned cash to Sideshow. They constantly put the prices up anyway so it doesn't make a difference.

guys, let's not give Dusty a hard time here. Yes, no one wants to be a guinea pig but I'm sure that SS will help you if you have problems with the first batch, especially since they have come out and said there were some problems.

would you rather they keep mum. Let's work together on this.

Dusty, i just want to thank you for coming here and responding. That is the main reason why I buy Sideshow's products. You have helped change my opinion on this piece from a "Damn, I want it but won't chance it." to a "Ok, I'll get this once my funds come in."

thanks :duff

Yeah thanks for having the gumption to post sideshow dusty. I thought SS were not going to comment on this piece. Hopefully the issues aren't being swept under the rug.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I have been looking into this. I found out that there were some problems with our early test shipments, and I have heard that there are improvements in the works. As of right now, the packing materials and shipment methods have for sure been kicked up a notch :duff

PM sent.
Thank you!

Averone

I thought I read somewhere that sideshow did test shipments to themselves.

I just want SS to come on here or their website and say they will be making these statues MUCH thicker. Like an inch-2 inches thick overall. Then I will consider placing and order for this piece. Until that happens I have no interest in adding this to my collection. Although it kills me to not have this since I waited so long to order this and it looks so dam cool. This is the 2nd time SS has let me down on an IM collectible I REALLY wanted to have. First the 1:1 bust and now this:monkey2.....when will it end.

P.S. There are improvements in the works!? What does that make mine? 2nd test shipment? If that the case, I will send this in coming replacement back whether it's damaged or not. I did not pay for a test casting!!

You tell em.. And let us know if and what the improvements are as I too would be upset having the tester version..

Ditto, I was ready to order until I saw four broken pieces and only two that weren't in a matter of a few months time. I'm hoping the thickness can be increased along the joint area's at the very least to make it stronger..

Unfortunately, they will be in a pickle either way.The main headache for them would be if they make a statement about future thickening, the customers currently receiving this batch will be upset, complain and want a refund or get to the new thicker cast statues. If they even want to continue the 1:2 line, they may just take the hit, revamp the armor, release it as a new version (change to a dynamic pose and switch armors possibly from IM2) and rerelease the new batch in a thicker cast this time with a statement plus a edition size with an exclusive version in time for IM2.

Actually I'm sure that it makes more sense to rectify the issue now when only a very small batch have gone out rather than let it fester.

Better to have a scar than lose a limb.

Yup. It's their own mistake and it's better to fix now than later.

I'm in the same boat. Even after the 1:1 bust fiasco I went though, I would have loved to got one of these but didn't order one due to my previous experience with the 1:1 bust and so far I don't regret it one bit.

This piece is very impressive while on display ... see AVERONE's pics.

HOWEVER, after seeing the GUTS (what this is made of), i would NEVER pay the money Sideshow is asking...NEVER

This piece is like a girl who wears SPANX...or spanks (you know...the tights tights that keep their ass lookin' nice, and stomach tucked in) After it's exposed for what it truly is, you can never look at it the same.
