Eh. That's what it is. I don't see an issue.

Jaws is a popcorn movie. It was, you could say, one the first big summer blockbuster popcorn. But would you not say that movie is perfect or damn close? It has one goal, and that is to enterain. It does it well. You can watch it over and over, and enjoy it. It's not stupid, it's not incredibly deep, it's just one of those perfect movies that work on all the levels a movie should be.

Maybe you don't enjoy The Avengers. And that's all fine and dandy. Doesn't bother me none. You can call it absolute ****. But I love it so much.

Raiders is another flick i'd give a 10. Once again, it has everything I want in a movie, and hasn't gotten old for me yet.

Jaws is pretty damn close to a 10. Not much can rival Indianapolis scene, acting, music, suspense. It is almost a perfect movie.

Avengers not very close to a 10. It's a 8. It was great seeing the Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Loki and Black Widows ass. The story was meh.

You're talking as an real score? Then yeah. Avengers is an 8. Raiders is 8, Prometheus is a 7, maybe a 6.5.

But I was talking me. For me, it's a 10 movie. It hits every mark. Does that make me reliable? Probably not. But eh. I'm not a critic.

I guess technically any movie you really really love and own and love watching multiple times is a personal 10? movies that have to flaws in your eyes?

for me that movie is Jurassic Park. It is perfect, there is nothing I don't like about it and I am entertained from start to finish. I don't see any dull parts and I love the dialogue.

I loved Avengers but there were parts that sometimes I fast foward through. just a couple of parts in the movie that I don't like. Specially in the beginning, but I still love it.

Watchmen is another movie I would give 10/10 just because of how much I enjoy it and how well it was made. I don't see any flaws and I love every second of the movie. I guess to me that's what it comes down to, movies that have absolutely no dull or weird moments for me personally.

All movies have flaws. Jurassic Park has flaws. Jaws has flaws.

The question is, do they, in the overall scheme, really make or break the film.

That's the thing tough, if Avengers doesn't really have flaws for you personally then it is your "10/10" movie.

I don't really see any flaws with Jurassic Park. For me it is perfect from start to finish. I'm sure other people see things they didn't like but I thought it was a perfect movie.

What flaws do you see in Jurassic Park?

The fellowship of the ring is an epic movie to me. The ending always gets you pumped for more.

Watchmen isn't perfect. At all. WTF are you smoking.

Anyway, you know why I can see past flaws? Because nothing is perfect. Nothing. Nadda. Zip. Everything is flawed.

I don't disagree. However, for my own personal opinion, there can be perfection in imperfection. :D

If I was a professional critic and I used a 10, I should be fired on the spot. :lol

for me Watchmen was perfect because it was so close to the source material and the actors did an amazing job. Besides Sin City I think this is the closest a comic has been adapted. That's why for me it is a 10. I watch the movie and I don't really see anything wrong with it. I don't see the flaws everyone else did.
I don't see Avengers as a 10/10 at all but you do, because you personally love it so much.
Jaws I sort of like it. not a 10 for me either, but you love it.

(actually you just made me realize Sin City could be a 10/10 as well)

What about its just perfect in your opnion???? And its a ten in your eyes??? NO.... alrighty then

And yet, you question me.

When nerds argue over subjective as if its objective... on the next Dr. Phil. :lol

To me, a 10/10 film is one that achieves appreciation from its viewers in all areas. Not just eye-candy. It's acting, characterization, the music, the cinematography, editing, writing, etc. That's why for me, The Godfather is a masterpiece. I know some people, especially action or sci-fi junkies, think it's boring or lackluster. But to me every line of dialogue is powerful, the music is beautiful yet haunting and leaves quite an impression. The transformation of Michael Corleone is so well done that it makes Anakin Skywalker's look laughable in comparison. There isn't a weak performance in the film and for as long as it is and all the events that occur, I think it's rather seamless.

Avengers might be my personal favorite comic book film ever made, but with a pretty corny beginning, a mediocre score, a thin story and no room for real memorable characterization (the closest I'd honestly say is the Hulk monster....because he's actually developed in this movie, but the others were fleshed out way more in their own respective franchises). So, to me the Avengers can only really be a 10/10 for action movies or superhero movies. Calling it a 10/10 when you have The Godfather, Shawshank Redemption, Kings Speech, or something along the lines like that doesn't feel right to me. I'd put a film like Inception a lot closer to those films than Avengers.
