Isn't it possible to give Sideshow a ring & ask?

I can't find the article I read last night. I was searching a bunch of stuff and found and article that did the comparison between the Iron Man 1/2 scale ($2000) and Neteryi maquette ($1600) and the LSF's. The CEO of sideshow mentioned they would be in the same scales as those pieces and similar in price. Whatever that means. It was an actual article, but who knows it could all be BS. I am hoping they are around 1K, but based on similar releases I think $1800-$2000 is a likely price.

OK Guys inlight me here. If this is a 1:2 scale it means its double the size of 1/4. so it could be around 80-90cm (31-32inches) tall. If a 1/4 pf is about $350 then i will assume this wont go more than $750-$800. Why be $1000 or even more. Mind u Neutiri Maquette is $1600 for some reason. Does it has to do with the quality as well??
I d love to see Spidey, Batman, Superman, in this line. Although more than $850 it would be a tough choice to buy.
I will appreciate any replies on my thoughts.

I certainly hope you're wrong on this one.
There's a "Live Chat" going on with Sideshow today, I'll try & see if I can manage to ask on there.

My thoughts exactly. A half scale wolverine should be around $800-$1000. I think the Iron Man and Neteryi 1/2 scale maquette's were made by legacy studios. Which would automatically drive the retail price up.

Oh i forgot to mention. U may c all the legendary scale figure on youtube with Neutiri as well......under the title :San Diego Comic Con 2011 Sideshow Legendary Scale Figures 1:2

It's mentioned in a video somewhere. Someone asked a Sideshow employee and they said around $2000.00. :monkey2

Edit: It's mentioned in this video...

You're just taking into account the height. It's double the height but the amount of polystone or whatever material they use will more than double because of the increased girth of the figure (assuming both pieces are as hollow/hefty).

The 1:2 IM maquette is already $2k and that one was really hollow.

doubling something in 3 dimensional space means twice as tall, twice as wide, and twice as deep. 2x2x2 means it's actually 8x larger.

edit: yup, what Fuzzy said :)

Thnks guys for ur replies. There are a few videos on youtube already from comic con 2011. oh God am gonnna need a loan....

I think somebody mention about the new material on Obi's face. They can say whatever they want about the material, as it is NEW.

There will be a video later on the day regarding the Legendary Scale Figures, everything else they're being mum about.

You still have to take into account the "Legacy" name tag. You were also paying for that with the Iron Man 1/2 scaled. I'm so hoping these come in around the $1200 to $1500 price range. I think that would be fair market value for a ES run of about 300 to 500 total, no EX.

well someone says $2000 each statue on this line, it is mentioned on the video by Darth Snoopy. If that's the case then add shipping and taxation to Europe. No way man

Thanks for the video post Snoop! :hi5:

It wasn't an employee who mentioned it though, so it can be just a personal assumption or maybe he did ask a Sideshow employee.

I'm in denial I know. :monkey3
