X-Men: Apocalypse - May 27, 2016

Wolverine isn't officially in this yet? I'm shocked. Despite all the criticism that we've had about 10 Wolverine movies so far and maybe 1 actual X-Men movie, we need Wolvie in a movie that has Cyclops, Jean Gray, Nightcrawler, and Storm.

I thought Alan Cumming absolutely nailed it in X2.

What's the latest on this rumor because I hope he is in it the previous movie left us with a few questions now that the time line has rebooted, but I suppose he still gets his ad amateur claws via Mystic Ala striker.

Still I hoping for this movie to take it Avengers level action big all out spectical.

As much as I love Wolverine, I would prefer if he wasn't in this movie. Give the other X-men more screentime and the time to shine.

I would support an X-movie that really did that, but as we saw with, well, every other movie in the franchise so far, they don't really know how to spread out the attention very well. With no Wolvie, chances are this movie will still focus on Mystique, Prof X., and Magneto, with everyone else just providing support.

Yeah, that does get a little monotonous after a while.

I haven't seen DOFP yet (yeah I know), but the best sequence that I've observed so far in the films that features the classic X-MEN in full flight, is that battle with the Sentinel in the simulation room in X3.

Is this just speculation, or is it substantiated? I don't recall seeing Singer say anything about there being some trilogy beginning with First Class and ending with Apocalypse.

I don't mind if Magneto gets more screentime, but I don't give a flying **** about Jennifer Lawrence/Mystique. She should just be Apocalypses side woman.

I want them to focus on Scott, Jean and the young x-men team... but I am betting they will all have roles like Angel, Banshee and Havok from First Class.

I think the writer mentioned something along those lines like it was the final chapter for those 3 characters charles, Eric and raven.

I don't we will be visiting them again they just went with a new younger cast for this reboot of the original so I belive that is the plan going forward. Wolverine probably has one movie on him I have no idea if it stay it line with the others and be connected or a stand alone.

I would like to see from fox the same kind of schedule that DC and marvel have given. I am thinking for the future the go with the younger X men cast , a Deadpool movie , and I am assuming X force is their answer to DC and marvel squid squad and guardians .

Hard to imagine the X-franchise doing away with Professor X and Magneto, even if they get recast. If the idea was to have three films with these specific actors in the roles of Charles, Erik, Mystique, and. . .Beast I guess, then I can understand that, due to contractual difficulties in getting JLaw to sign on again or whatever. But I don't see the first 3 films as part of a specific trilogy, despite their sharing several of the same actors and characters. If they disregarded the primary X-Men and started doing New Mutants or X-Force or something, then I could better understand that they were conceptualizing shorter series of films as being more directly linked to one another.

Kinberg said they could return, but it's closing out the FC character stories, I'm assuming their relationships and everything that started in FC will come to a resolution, like Charles and Raven's relationship and such. So after Apocalypse (or by the end of) they'll probably become the characters we know and hope to see in the future.

I just hope Mcavoy and Fassbender return.
