I can't wait for the One, not too long now though. It's due early Nov same time as my 2nd baby. Hopefully the baby arrives late so I can get some good quality gaming in.

Joking by the way :lol

Why wont these clowns give us a release date for christ sakes. Major nelson also said the white xbox one will eventually be made to the public he just dont know when. The white does look nice . I hate gloss black fingerprint magnet.

Even though these changes are for the good but if it wasn't for Sony spanking them. I dont think MS planned this years ago, They didn't do their homework, they weren't ready.

That sums up the Xbox one for me, it got the better games though

I don't think Microsoft are even claiming otherwise at this point.

I wouldn't be surprised if I saw the words 'Sony was spanking us' in an official press statement at this point....

As long as they're making changes for the better, it makes them look good IMO.

Exactly, start out with all the bad, see what is accepted, then adjust if needed. I belive this was actully more calculated than people want to belive.

Release date is set November 22nd.

The Xbox One launches in 13 markets including North America on November 22. After leaving it in the limbo of a November release window for a few months, Microsoft pinned a concrete release date on its next-gen system, one that'll see it arrive on North American retail shelves behind the PlayStation 4, due on November 15. On the other hand, the PS4 hits Europe one week after the Xbox One on November 29.

To recap, the Xbox One's 13 launch markets are Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, United States and New Zealand. Meanwhile, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, and Switzerland, all initially on the launch list, won't see the Xbox One arrive until 2014.

wow, I really thought they would have launched it before ps4 and around Call of duty ghosts.

Because, at this point, they're still making gamers pay for it. I'm pretty sure gamers will stop going on about it with an Xbox1 offered at $400 sans Kinect.

i actualy like that we're getting it bundled with the console, even if we don't have to use it.
It tells dev's that EVERYONE who has the console has a Kinect. This means that Game Dev's are more likely to want to develop features that use it. The more they do that, the more the possibility of innovation happens, which means more new ideas, which means better games in the long run.

not forcing it on everyone who buys the console makes game dev's less likely to want to develop for the device, and in the long run leads to crappyier games being the only ones that utilize it.

Here in Europe they're actually doing both of those things. :monkey3

It's nice to see one of the console makers actually takes this part of the world seriously but I'm surprised they'd launch it later than PS4 on home soil. Maybe they figure the US market will be largely unaffected regardless?
