Agreed. It’s early so maybe it’ll change. The sculpt is maybe 70% of the way there in terms of the quality we’ve seen out of DS9.

I guess it’s this one, they went with an earlier look. Like Kira, it’s looks much more brighter.

Garak and O'Brien look good. Day 1 buys. I don't mind Garak with his creepy smile.
Buying them easily. I hope they do for O'Brien what they've done with McCoy and give him some short sleeve arms.

I'm afraid Garak is a pass for me in that outfit. Same reason I passed on Neelix (and the odd expression). Hopefully this gets changed prior to production. Most of these are almost certainly protos they literally threw together in short order to make the Con. I'm assuming that the ones that fit this category are in no way indicative of what the final products will look like.

All that said, O'Brien looks sensation in that profile shot!

Yeah, why he’s choosing that outfit for Garak is bizarre to me. It’s like he actively chooses the non preferred look for some characters.

Yeah, sadly I'll be passing on Garak too if that's how it's gonna look. Not liking the expression or the bright orange outfit.

Neck and head should be one piece. One example where lack of articulation wouldn’t matter.

He wore that outfit in The Wire and as late as In The Pale Moonlight, so it gets a tick from me on that. But it looks unfinished so here's hoping there's still a fair bit of refinement to come.

Garak seems to have the "especially the lies" smile. I just wish he was wearing the outfit from that scene.

Looks like either the head is too small or the material is too thick.

LOVE the O'Brien - but seriously disappointed with that Garak - body, portrait and outfit - everything is below expectations . . . so I'm betting that's an early prototype with ton of work remaining. Agree with @Johnny Utah - remove the neck articulation - or hide it below the costume line!

I suspect this is one reason they went with it, as that's the reason Nanjin has said Sisko headsculpt also has no neck (so he can open his shirt per that scene with the glass)

I spoke with Nanjin at the conference and he pointed out to me that the body is too big and the head is too small on Garak.

I happen to like the expression.

You do realize cardiasians have a wide neck, like a cobra, right? i'm guessing that it was more practical to build the neck onto the body than to figure out how to attach a huge neck to the body in a way that was moveable at all.
