Hot Toys - Iron Man 2 - 1/6th scale Black Widow Collectible Figure (Artisan Edition)

I would've preferred the Avengers movie version as the six OG Avengers for that film are all I have left of my Marvel collection, aside from some Spider-man (mans, men?) That version probably wouldn't have given enough "pop" with the hair.

Amazing. Must get. No idea how I’ll get it though. I always swore I wouldn’t bother with limited Artisans.

I think so. Figure is quoted as being 28cm tall which is same height as all the other BW.

No, Hot Toys never makes statements like that. I'm sure they will never ever revisit Black Widow solo movie appearances of the character again let alone in Artisan form. We are lucky if we can get Winter Soldier or Avengers 1 version.

Things may have changed in the past 3-4 years but for a long time Black Widow figures were Hot Toy’s best selling character. I would expect at least Avengers, Winter Soldier, IW and/or Endgame versions coming eventually.

Is that underscaled? I don't have any BW figures, but 28 cm is around 11 in tall, which seems about right. Scarlett Johansson is 5'3. In those shoes she wears in IM2, she's probably around 5'6.

One of the best sculpts Ive ever seen. Some of these look like screen grabs from a movie

What widow sculpt is better?

Never tried to get an Artisan figure before, what’s the best way to guarantee a purchase? SS?

SS or premium via HK sellers.

Looks real good, definitive even. I can't imagine we won't see this sculpt reused at least for a Winter Soldier and an Avengers Widow, though.

Really tempted but I feel like they're gonna eventually do an Artisan TWS Widow, which I would prefer over this.

I think if they go one by one on Artisan Widows, I think I will have to declare bankruptcy or sell my first born, whichever is easier to do…

A Winter Soldier Nat would have made more sense, it's the film's 10 year anniversary.

But HT gonna HT.

Yeah, I think this looks really good, but TWS look would probably be the only version I'd be willing to pay "Artisan" prices for.

Yeah, I prefer this one as well. Maybe they'll do more using the same sculpt?

I really wish HT wouldn't dangle these preorders above our heads. Just announce the date and time with each on so we don't have to keep checking our devices. I bet a lot of people miss out because they are working shifts or sleeping after a night shift. I mean, we could get up and click preorder, but not if we don't know when they're going to go up.

This is her best look imo.

The OG was artisan too and the hair sucked, not seeing what is so much better this time around? Is there a non artisan version?

The OG had frizzy "doll" hair, whereas this will have frizzy wool hair. BIG difference!

Yes but this version was in desperate need of an upgrade out of all the Black Widows Hot Toys have put out.

The Artisan line is new, and the OG would be far from it. Sure it had rooted hair, but it looked like a doll as did the head sculpt. The body shape and proportions were way off. A lot more advancements have happened since that was released. In fact I wasn't collecting these yet back then.

When you look at all the official Widow headsculpts together like this, I agree this Artisan edition has the best likeness above all others.
