If we’re going by how the PT2 was when this photo was released in the first few days of January 2023. Sideshow charged me the final amount on February 22, 2023. Almost 52 days later. So…. Maybe we’ll see something by mid-January?

Anyone have any thoughts on the car based on these photos? Details? Accuracy? Etc. I am interested in it, though far from an expert on the car. Thanks

It looks pretty accurate, except for a few nagging details that they've never gotten quite right with these cars, like the headlights not being a warm white and the color wiring on the side not being vibrant enough.

So torn. I’d love to get the Part III version. If it stays in stock long enough where I can get a good discount again then maybe.

Overall, the DeLorean looks pretty good, some inherent issues notwithstanding.

The wheels stand-out to me the most as being inaccurate.
The chrome hubcaps are slightly too small & inset too far into the dish of the wheel (making them look even smaller) because they reflect too much of the red wheel. The chrome hubcaps on the movie prop almost came out & met the edge of the wheel face (see image).

I seriously doubt the 'leather' straps are real leather, but should be an easy upgrade.
Would love for a modder to create/sell a real wooden hood-tray with the added 'Pepsi-Cola' logo too, as it's missing due to licensing.

It also looks like the hood-tray components don't light up at all, so they may need to be modded too.

I will be picking this up though. :)

Huh I never noticed the hood components lighting up before. Although I think that was only when in motion or about to time travel, right? If its just sitting stationary then I think you can get away with them being unlit, just like the flux bands.

Some take always from the video:
- the power button is digital again. Ugh… all the second press does is the vent lights in the back. The holding the button down trick will still work and should be fine at least.
- the hood box is permanently attached
- covers for the screws to attach the wheels are magnetic
- there is an “unlocking mechanism” of sorts to lift back into the wheel well once pulled down to do the correct stance.
- tires too small, center hub cap too small

I’ve been waiting to see the car and unless I missed it, I watched on my phone so anything is possible, it didn’t seem to show so many of the mark 3 features…edit: meaning the railroad tires installed, the component box installed…

Yeah that was more just an initial unboxing than a proper review.

Tires are definitely undersized, but it looks like you can adjust the height of each one individually, so that's good at least.

And the car looks far too clean, but I'm not a fan of how HT weathers these anyway so that's probably for the best.
