The tire width is also far too wide on the Hot Toys wheel.
The '50s tire should be super-narrow.

The good news is I've heard Mike Lane Mods is apparently working on a hood-box & wheels?

Yeah, I also noticed this right away. The eagle moss one is also too thick/wide.

Luckily we’re only seeing it from the side most of the time.

I sure hope someone comes up with new wheels. I’m even thinking of 3D printing it after scanning and scaling it up.

@Adama, awesome news about the Mike Lane Mods. I was going to reach out to Mike once I had this in-hand. Upgrades to the hood box and undersized, chunky ‘50s wheels would be great. Wish we didn’t have to pay extra for these details, but HT will be HT.

Hoping Mike upsizes his 1/8 rail track kit to 1/6 for the railroad version too.

What is the issue with the hood box other than it not lighting up? I’d imagine a whole new custom one might be a bit expensive…
Other than missing the Coca Cola labeling, I'm not aware of anything.

I'm definitely down for some new tires from whoever makes them. I have a 3D printer but don't see any files out there currently to use.

I figured someone was going to do a custom Coca Cola sticker. I have messaged Mike Lane Mods a couple of times going back many months to see if he was going to do train tracks, though he never replied...

Mike Lane currently has a hood-box upgrade kit for the 1/8 Eaglemoss with real wood & the Pepsi-Cola logo.
Therefore I guess something similar will be released for the HT version.

I'd personally love the hood-box components to be illuminated too - but suspect I'd have to do this custom work myself, as it may be a little too involved.

I just received mine yesterday. Had a few issues with the hood fitting correctly and the doors opening but it appears to be fine now. I'll check my wheels to ensure I'm not experiencing issues with them moving into the correct position for the 1955 wheels.

How were you able to fix the issue with the hood not fitting correctly and the doors opening? What exactly were the issues with the doors?

The best way to attach the hood would be to lie it down the way it should look on the car. Put one end of the spring connector in and carefully put the other one in without lifting the hood. This should give it better fit.

One door side worked without any issues but the other side almost felt as if it was catching on a piece of plastic. I carefully moved it up and down and eventually it was just as good as the other side.
