I was looking at this thing, and I have to say: it's ****ing impressive. I was imagining it in a display case, and I wonder if this'll be the first Iron Man with a remote. If they could do that for the armory, I don't see why they couldn't do it here, and I can't think of a better place to start. Maybe it's just because I've always associated the scale with PFs, but I always thought that 1/6th was the scale that you "play with," and 1/4, while still giving you the option of being able to "play with it," was more of a display piece that you changed up once every few months. With that in mind, I think it'd be cool if you could "power him up," as it were, every time you were home or felt like it, without having to take him out and mess with it.
Maybe it has to do with it being a different scale, but, between the design, and the execution of the figure itself, this just really impressed me. It's a beautiful piece, and I'm genuinely hoping the film lives up to it. Well, Howard, I guess hell has officially frozen over, as you've shut me up. I stopped bitching about Iron Man a long time ago, but I think this is the first time I've ever sung his praises.
