This will be my focus for the next few hours. Feel free to ask any questions while I have him out.

Hey Thanks Royce! Those are awesome pics and taken at very good lighting. Other photos that I have seen thus far were oversaturated with light same with videos but I think you captured the true color of the suit in real life. these pics speaks for itself and it looks beast. I am very happy with the gold color That I think HT finally got right this time around. As you mentioned the weather is a but different, wish they didnt shadow the scuff marks with black and just left it silver but it STILL looks mind blowning. I will probably be keeping it! Thanks for the indeph review much appreciated :D enjoy bud!

Hot Toys is labeling this line as 1/4 scale. They even have the item numbers QSxxxx . My problem is each year they come up with a new "1/4 scale" size. It's like they keep changing their own 1/4 scale dimensions as they go. So in reality it's not really a "scale" per say. Maybe more of a Marketing Class of figures.

It is odd. Even the Boba Fett figure was short but suddenly Iron Man is huge. If you put him on the base that adds another 3" in height.

That's because a suit of armor is supposed to make you bulkier and taller, even if just a little bit. Batman is for sure underscale, but the mark XLIII is fine.

Also it looks like you still have the torso pulled out on your figure, making him look taller than he really is, and throwing off the proportions a bit.

All I'm saying is We are talking about one company Hot Toys. They have a Line labeled as 1/4 scale, but even inside their own 1/4 line each one is different in size whether Batman, Endoskelton, Boba, and now Mark 43. They all carry the QSxxxx moniker none of them are in scale with each other.

And my Batman is a bit taller than usual because I don't have the boots pressed all the way into the ankle pegs.

Their 1/6 scale stuff has slowly getting taller too. Sideshow's 1/4 scale statues seemingly have been getting taller and shorter at the same time. I'm not trying to defend it. It's annoying. But in this case, a 1/4 scale iron man should be pretty big. That's all I'm trying to say.

He is here! First impressions.. Damn this thing looks good!

Weathering
Paint job is solid. I could not appreciate how well weathering could be done until I bought 3a's Bumblebee figure. Having been exposed to that level of detailing I can say that the weathering here could be better. Looks flat and mass produced (which I know.. It is) to be honest. But on display its a non issue because you are not viewing it from 1 inch away!

Don't let this deter you tyt2lynnin1. It still looks nice. Some of your criticism does hold true though.

Lots of batteries. Not sure why Hot Toys did not include the little screw driver like in some of their other releases.

Could you please take some close ups, maybe side by side, of the ThreeA's Bumblebee and the HT Mark 43 to show the weathering comparison.

Thanks in advance.

It really is all over the place. I'm afraid to see how shorty Iron Man Mk III DC looks standing next to the upcoming War Machine Mk I DC.
It's already pretty short compared to the first version and the WM Mk I DC is a good deal taller than that.

I think it might be a fair comparison to put the DC Mk III next to the WM Mk II?

Pretty much all the IM 3 figures are taller than the figures before them.

Didn't mean to double post but I don't know how to delete on tapatalk
